𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤: Conducting a waste audit, baseline survey and register waste workers.
𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤: ️The study assesses how Cox's Bazar, including the Rohingya camps, manages solid waste, particularly plastic. The study will look at waste disposal habits, current management systems, and challenges residents and tourists face. The goal is to develop a more efficient waste collection and recycling plan for a cleaner Cox's Bazar and Rohingya camp.

𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐤: The study is ongoing. We have finished the field activities recently. Now, we are working on the data analysis and compilation. The field activities are as follows:
• Digital Survey to Assess Waste Generation (GIS Mapping)
• Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices (KAP) assessment among the different socio-economic groups
• Stakeholder Mapping
• Assess the knowledge, capacity, and well-being of the waste collectors and recyclers.
• The status of availability and access to waste management services in Cox's Bazar and Rohingya camps.
• The percentage of waste recycled from the total generated and collected wastes at the city and Rohingya refugee camp level.
• Evaluation of the business status and operation of plastic waste recyclers operating within the city and Rohingya refugee camp areas.
