𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀?

In the age of AI, we often assume that data has all the answers.

But many real-world challenges are human problems first.

People in remote communities.

Women and children excluded from datasets.

Communities whose experiences never enter algorithms.

This is where design thinking becomes essential.

Design thinking provides a powerful framework for tackling complex problems through empathy, experimentation, and iterative learning. By engaging directly with lived experiences, it can help entrepreneurs, organizations, and policymakers develop solutions that are more inclusive, adaptable, and sustainable.

In her article, “𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆,” Pinki Shah (PhD), Consultant, Mentor (volunteer), CCI, and Social Entrepreneur based in Ottawa, Canada; Founder of Recycling Art Cafe, and Former Professor at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), Dhaka, discusses how empathy-driven innovation can strengthen strategy in an increasingly uncertain world.

Are you passionate about entrepreneurship, ecosystem development, and driving innovation in Bangladesh? Junction Bangladesh, the entrepreneurship and innovation SBU of iSocial, is seeking a proactive and organized Program Manager to lead strategy, partnerships, and digital activation across its growing portfolio.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
- Lead the development of Junction’s business plan and ensure alignment between vision, services, and market needs.
- Coordinate incubation and capacity-building programs for clients and partners.
- Manage Junction’s digital platforms and support website development for stronger communication and visibility.
- Build partnerships with universities, startups, and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Oversee projects secured through competitive bidding, ensuring quality delivery and timely reporting.
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies to keep Junction’s services relevant.
- Lead digital and offline activation campaigns to promote Junction initiatives.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, MIS, Project Management, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, or Development Studies.
- 2–3 years of experience in project management, entrepreneurship development, or communications (ecosystem experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and digital collaboration tools.
- Strong coordination, planning, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to travel for project implementation.
