We are proud to share another remarkable achievement of the IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University at RoboFusion 1.0.

On 8 August 2026, eight teams from the IoT Lab participated in the Project Showcasing Category of RoboFusion 1.0, held at Kaliakair Hi-Tech Park, Kaliakair, Gazipur.

We are delighted to announce that two IoT Lab teams secured positions in the Top 12, with one team achieving 5th position and another securing 9th position. Both teams have been selected to participate in the World Sustainable Development Goals Challenge (WSDG) 2026 – International Round.

Adding to this achievement, another team from the DMA-DIU Tech Hub secured an impressive 7th position and was also selected for the WSDG 2026 International Round.

Heartiest congratulations to all the teams for their outstanding performance. Their dedication, creativity, and commitment to innovation continue to make the IoT Lab proud.

The IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University was honored to welcome Dr. Jahangir Dewan, a Microchip Design Expert from Silicon Valley, on 28 July 2026 as part of his visit to Daffodil International University.

During the visit, the respected Associate Head of the Department of CSE and Convener of the IoT Lab accompanied Dr. Dewan as the IoT Lab team presented an overview of the lab's activities, research initiatives, and several remarkable projects.

Dr. Dewan showed great interest in the work of the IoT Lab and highly appreciated the team's efforts and innovations. He also shared valuable suggestions and insights that will inspire the team to continue advancing its research and development activities.

The visit was a wonderful opportunity to exchange knowledge, gain expert feedback, and strengthen our commitment to research, innovation, and excellence.

The IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Alpaslan Durmuş, Head of the Department of UAV Technology and Operations, OSTIM Technical University, and Mr. Ahmet Murat Kadıoğlu, Rector of OSTIM Technical University on 22 July 2026.

During their visit, the IoT Lab team presented an overview of the lab’s activities, research initiatives, and some of its remarkable projects. The guests showed great interest in the ongoing work and appreciated the dedication, innovation, and efforts of the IoT Lab team.

We are delighted to share another proud achievement of the IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University.

A team from the IoT Lab participated in the SMUCT CSE FEST 2026, organized by Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, on 18 July 2026. Competing with talented teams from different universities, our team achieved the Runner-Up position in the Project Showcase category.

This achievement reflects the team's hard work, creativity, technical skills, and dedication to innovation. Their success is a testament to the research culture and collaborative learning environment of the IoT Lab.

As part of our continuous knowledge sharing initiative, a session on Microcontrollers and Sensors was held on 16 July 2026 at the IoT Lab. The session provided students with the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of fundamental IoT concepts through interactive discussions and peer-to-peer learning.

At the IoT Lab, we believe that sharing knowledge and learning from one another helps build confidence, encourages collaboration, and prepares students for future research and real-world innovation.

We are pleased to share that the IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University continues to make steady progress in the field implementation of an ongoing research project in collaboration with WaterAid Bangladesh.

On 16 June 2026, a team from the IoT Lab visited Lalashorai Tekpara, Mirpur-14, Dhaka to continue the field-level installation and testing activities of the developed system. During the visit, the team successfully completed the scheduled installation work and monitored the performance of the installed devices to ensure their smooth operation. The project team worked closely with local community members and stakeholders throughout the implementation process. Through continuous testing, monitoring, and improvement, the team remains committed to ensuring the successful ex*****on of the project and developing practical technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

The team would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Head of the Department of CSE, the Associate Heads of the Department, and the Convener of the IoT Lab for their continuous support, encouragement, and valuable guidance throughout the project.

The IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University, successfully organized an Introduction Session on 8 June 2026, for the newly recruited members of the IoT Lab.

The session was graced by the presence of the respected Head and Associate Heads of the Department of CSE, Convener of the IoT Lab, Coordinator of the IoT Lab, and faculty members associated with the IoT Lab. They warmly welcomed the new members and shared valuable guidance and suggestions for their journey with the lab.

During the session, the activities, achievements, and opportunities of the IoT Lab were presented by the Lab Officer and the Student Researcher in detail, helping the newly recruited members gain a better understanding of the lab and inspiring them to explore the exciting world of IoT and research.
