A significant changes made in section 2(21) of VAT & SD Act 2012. From 1st July 2024 (subject to confirmation in the budget discussion) any person will be treated Withholding Tax Entity if yearly Turnover exceeds BDT. 10 crore. Earlier it was only for limited company and government entity, NGO, Bank, Insurance, Secondary level or higher education institute.
