A meaningful addition to the YoungShip Bangladesh journey. 🇧🇩⚓

During a recent business visit to Oslo, our President of YoungShip Bangladesh had the wonderful opportunity to connect with members of the global YoungShip community. 🌍

We sincerely thank Erlend Holberg, Secretary General of YoungShip International, for the warm invitation to lunch alongside friends and members of YoungShip Oslo. What made the occasion even more memorable was the thoughtful presentation of the YoungShip flag to YoungShip Bangladesh — a gesture that was both meaningful and deeply appreciated.

Upon returning to Bangladesh, our President proudly placed the flag at the YoungShip Bangladesh office as a symbol of friendship, unity, and the strong international connections that continue to strengthen our growing maritime network.

The visit also provided an opportunity to meet with friends from the Boards of YoungShip Athens — Peder Andreas Hanstad and Aly Ramadan — and YoungShip Hamburg — Markus Gunnes. It was a pleasure to exchange updates on our respective departments, discuss future plans, and share ideas on learning, growth, and strengthening engagement across the YoungShip network.

We are truly grateful for the continued encouragement, support, hospitality, and camaraderie shared by the global YoungShip family, and we look forward to many more collaborations and milestones together.

⚓ Anchor of Growth: Diversifying Exports Through Mid-Sized Shipbuilding 🇧🇩

YoungShip Bangladesh, in collaboration with Global Chamber Dhaka, Movementum Consultancy and Facilitation Group (MCFG), and Interport Advisory Services, successfully hosted an industry dialogue titled “Anchor of Growth: Diversifying Exports Through Mid-Sized Shipbuilding” at Hotel Bengal Blueberry, Gulshan.

The session convened policymakers, industry leaders, financial institutions, and maritime professionals to explore how Bangladesh’s mid-sized shipbuilding sector can drive export diversification, employment generation, and industrial competitiveness 🚢📈.

The event opened with remarks from Tanjil Ahmed Ruhullah, Founding President, YoungShip Bangladesh, and Maimun Ur Rashid Mustafa, Executive Director, Global Chamber Dhaka, who emphasized coordinated action between industry, finance, and policymakers to unlock the sector’s potential.

🎙️ We were honored to have Mr. Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan, President, Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI), as our Chief Guest, highlighting global collaboration and private-sector leadership.
