1. Strategy formulation (in both for-profit and non-profit sector):This includes market research, business plans, intervention design, etc. The client is always presented with an evidence based, hands-on strategy document outlining next steps.
2. Organizational development: Based on existing or newly developed strategies Consiglieri can support in designing the process required to run a business / project successfully. This includes design of distribution systems, supply chain management, business process reengineering, development of communication plans, management systems, etc.
3. Evaluation & implementation of, mainly market oriented, development projects: We like to be involved in different stages including baseline surveys, midterm reviews, endlines, data quality audits, etc. Consiglieri can also design a full monitoring & evaluation plan for projects.

We are a Dhaka-based research and consulting firm working primarily with development partners, alongside select private sector clients. We are currently inviting applications for two full-time Research Intern positions for a period of four months.

🍀 Did you know that nearly 40% of the world still relies on traditional biomass stoves for cooking?

In Bangladesh, a typical family uses 3–5 kg of firewood daily, spending BDT 600–900 per month, while indoor smoke from these stoves can cause serious health and environmental issues.

Addressing this, the EnDev program has been promoting Improved Biomass Cookstoves (ICS) and e-cooking appliances in Rajshahi and Rangpur, making cooking cleaner, safer, and more affordable. Partners like Walton, AVA Development Society, and Ashrai are also training rural women and girls to provide after-sales services.
Collaborated with the GIZ_EnDev proect, Consiglieri Private Limited conducted a comprehensive verification survey to assess installation, performance, cost and time savings, user satisfaction, and success stories from ICS and e-cooking users.

🌱 Strengthening Evidence, Building Resilience! 🌱

Food insecurity remains a pressing challenge in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), where unique geography and seasonal vulnerabilities place communities at risk. To address this, the World Food Programme (WFP) has initiated a comprehensive Food Security Assessment across Rangamati, Bandarban, and Khagrachhari.

As WFP’s trusted research partner, Consiglieri Private Limited (CPL) is leading this vital data collection. Our teams conducted the culturally sensitive survey covering 1060 households in 30 unions across 12 upazilas of CHT. Demonstrating remarkable commitment, our enumerators successfully completed the fieldwork from September 25th to October 9th, persevering despite the ongoing unrest in Khagrachari District. CPL mobilized local and tribal enumerators of these districts for the shake of the effective data collection process.
Our comprehensive approach includes:

✅ Recruiting and training local and tribal enumerators from both indigenous and Bengali communities.
✅ Ensuring high-quality, ethical, and reliable data collection through daily validation protocols.
✅ Preparing our teams through intensive training and field testing of survey tools, which was conducted from September 17th-23rd.

📊 Through strong local collaboration, this assessment will generate credible evidence to inform WFP’s programming and policies, ultimately strengthening food security for the most vulnerable households in the CHT.

♻️Waste can be worth!

Dhaka generates around 646 tons of plastic waste every day. Yet only 37% is recycled while nearly half ends up in landfills and 12% is dumped into rivers and canals.
Polypropylene (PP) plastic plays a major role in Bangladesh’s recycling sector—yet the value chain is heavily dependent on informal workers who often face low wages, unsafe conditions, and limited social protection.

To better understand and address these challenges, Consiglieri is conducting a study on Local Impact Assessment for Waste to Worth across Dhaka, Narayanganj, and Munshiganjby for Woord en Daad . 🌍

Using a mixed-methods approach, the study is mapping the PP recycling value chain, analyzing stakeholders, analyzing policy landscape and assessing the realities of waste workers through a gender-responsive lens.

The final Action Plan will recommend targeted interventions to improve labor standards, enhance traceability, and align with the ILO Decent Work Framework.

✅ BRAC Migration Programme recently hosted a four-day intensive training on Project Cycle Management (PCM), designed and facilitated by Consiglieri Private Limited, to strengthen the strategic planning and implementation capacities of its team members. The training covered key areas including stakeholder analysis, Theory of Change alignment, risk and dependency frameworks, MEAL integration, and sustainability planning. Consiglieri has signed an agreement with GTS Ethiopia aiming to increase the capacity of young people and SMEs working in the apparel industry in Ethiopia. Consiglieri will lead in developing the curriculum, creating the training materials, and conducting the training for GTS’s Industrial Engineers on Lean Manufacturing philosophies. As Lean is still new in Ethiopia, this pilot intervention is targeted to improve the productivity and workspace safety of 50 SMEs supported by BRIDGES and First Consult. Consiglieri and GTS will work together to design and monitor the one-year intervention.
