নিশ্চিত করতে বেশ কিছু বিষয়ে সর্বোচ্চ সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করা জরুরি।

রড ও শাটারিং (Farme & Rebar): ঢালাইয়ের আগে রডের মাপ, জালি (spacing) এবং বাঁধুনি সঠিকভাবে দেওয়া হয়েছে কিনা তা প্রকৌশলীর নকশা অনুযায়ী মিলিয়ে দেখুন।

শাটারিং বা কাঠের ফ্রেম যেন নিখুঁত ও মজবুত হয়, যাতে ঢালাইয়ের চাপে বাঁকা বা ফাঁক হয়ে না যায়।

সিমেন্ট, বালু ও খোয়ার অনুপাত: সঠিক মাত্রায় কংক্রিট তৈরি করা অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। সাধারণত ছাদের ঢালাইয়ের জন্য ১:২:৪ (১ ভাগ সিমেন্ট, ২ ভাগ বালু, ৪ ভাগ খোয়া বা স্টোন চিপস) অনুপাত ব্যবহার করা হয়।

কভার ব্লক ও ইলেকট্রিক পাইপ: রড যেন ছাদের একদম নিচে বা উপরে না থাকে, তাই নির্দিষ্ট দূরুত্বে কভার ব্লক (Concrete block) ব্যবহার নিশ্চিত করুন। বিদ্যুতের তার বা লাইটের পাইপগুলো ঠিকমতো পাতা হয়েছে কিনা এবং ঢালাইয়ের সময় সেগুলো স্থানচ্যুত হচ্ছে কিনা তা খেয়াল রাখুন।

ঢালাইয়ের পুরুত্ব: ছাদের পুরুত্ব যেন সব জায়গায় সমান (কমপক্ষে ৪.৫ থেকে ৫ ইঞ্চি) থাকে।

ঢালা এবং ভাইব্রেশন (Vibration): ঢালাইয়ের সময় কংক্রিট ভালোমতো বসানোর জন্য ভাইব্রেটর ব্যবহার করতে হবে। তবে খেয়াল রাখতে হবে ভাইব্রেটর যেন রডে বেশিক্ষণ না ধরে রাখা হয়, এতে রড ও কংক্রিটের বন্ধন আলগা হয়ে যেতে পারে।

পানি দেওয়া (Curing): ঢালাইয়ের পরদিন থেকেই ছাদে পানি দিয়ে ভিজিয়ে রাখতে হবে (কিউরিং)। অন্তত ১৪ থেকে ২১ দিন ছাদ সবসময় ভেজা রাখা কংক্রিটের শক্তি বাড়াতে সাহায্য করে।
