DBL Group has a dedicated and skilled workforce of more than 47,000 employees and had an annual turnover of USD 1 Billion for the year 2023-24. DBL Group supplies quality apparels to globally renowned retailers and is focused on upholding the reputation of the ready-made garments and textiles industry of Bangladesh. DBL is well reputed locally and globally for its diverse set of sustainability activities, working with international development partners such as CARE, DEG, IFC, GIZ, ILO, and UNICEF. DBL is constantly involved with multiple sustainability initiatives focusing on various social and environmental aspects. DBL’s activities are in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and have been recognized internationally by the UN Global Compact and the Business Call to Action (BCtA) of the UN Development Program. At the TECNA Awards 2026 in Rimini, Italy, DBL Ceramics, a concern of DBL Group, received the award in the "New Technology" category.

TECNA is one of the world's leading platforms for ceramic manufacturing technology. Receiving this recognition in Italy, the centre of global ceramic innovation, sets a Bangladeshi manufacturer alongside the industry's most advanced names.

DBL Group welcomed a delegation from the Australian High Commission, Bangladesh to its Mymun Complex at Kashimpur, Gazipur.

The delegation comprised Harry Thompson, First Secretary (Political); Josh Gacutan, Second Secretary (Economic); and Shahtaj Mahmud, Trade and Economic Manager. They were received by members of DBL Group's senior leadership team.

During the visit, the delegation toured the complex's manufacturing operations and discussed about Fiber sourcing & other business prospects from Australia, Better Work program (a joint initiative by ILO & IFC), Social and Environmental Sustainability initiatives in DBL Group.

DBL Group is thankful to the Australian High Commission in Bangladesh for the visit and looks forward to further engagement between Bangladesh and Australia.

Congratulations to DBL Ceramics on winning the Gold Award for "Excellence in Sustainable Brand Communication" at the ESG Excellence Awards 2026, presented by the ESG Institute Bangladesh and the United Nations Global Compact Network Bangladesh.

The United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 25,000 participants across over 100 countries, has established an Asia-Pacific Peer Learning Group for Chief Sustainability Officers. DBL Group's CSO, Mohammed Zahidullah, has joined its founding cohort.

The by-invitation group convenes senior sustainability leaders from across the region for closed-door exchange on the challenges shaping their work: navigating ISSB, CSRD and regional ESG disclosure frameworks; the expanding influence of the CSO across business functions and boardrooms; and translating sustainability commitments into measurable business value.

DBL Group is the only company from Bangladesh in the cohort, reflecting the direction set by its Sustainability 5.0 strategy across People, Process, Product, Community, and Environment.

We look forward to contributing Bangladesh's perspective to the region's sustainability agenda through the year ahead.
