We’re pleased to share that our project, the Shah Muhammad Mohshin Khan Mausoleum, has been featured in the esteemed architectural magazine Firenze Architettura, University of Florence, Italy.
Founded in 1321, the University of Florence (Università degli Studi di Firenze) is one of Italy’s oldest and most respected academic institutions. Its Department of Architecture has long been a hub for critical discourse, research, and experimentation in the fields of design, theory, and architectural history.
Firenze Architettura, the university’s official magazine, serves as a platform for dialogue between academic and professional architecture communities. The publication is known for its thematic issues that delve into specific architectural questions through built works, theoretical essays, and critical reflections. Past editions have examined themes such as the legacy of modernism, the role of memory in architecture, urban peripheries, and the poetic dimensions of materiality and space.
The current issue is dedicated to the relationship between natural light and architecture, exploring how light shapes space, emotion, and meaning in architectural practice. It’s an honor for our studio, Sthapotiks, to be included in this conversation, and to contribute to a project that reflects our commitment to contextual sensitivity, cultural identity, and the expressive use of natural light.
We extend our sincere thanks to the editorial board of Firenze Architettura and the University of Florence for their thoughtful curation and for including our work in this significant issue. Opportunities like these encourage meaningful architectural exchange across borders and perspectives.
