In a recent child custody matter before the Hon’ble High Court Division, a writ petition was filed by the father seeking production of the minor child pursuant to an Order dated 29 April 2026 directing the mother to appear before the Court with the child.
We had the privilege of representing the young mother in the proceeding through our partner, Tasmiah Nuhiya Ahmed, Mahabub Alam and Mihrab Kabir Proyash. Upon hearing the parties and considering the welfare and wellbeing of the minor, the Hon’ble Court was pleased to allow the mother to retain custody of the child, while granting the father visitation rights once every week.
After every divorce, it is often the child who suffers the most. We believe that parental conflict should never deprive a child of love, care, stability, and emotional security.
The welfare of the minor remains the paramount consideration of the Court — and today, that principle was preserved.
