BdREN and APNIC jointly organized a seminar today, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at BdREN’s Training Room, Navana HR Tower-2, Dhaka. Delegates from APNIC member universities attended the event.

The seminar covered APNIC’s role in supporting internet infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific, along with discussions on member benefits, community engagement, and internet governance.

BdREN Chief Mohammad Tawrit delivered the opening speech, followed by presentations from APNIC representatives Ms. Subha Shamarukh and Mr. Pabudu Jayasinghe.

BdREN signs agreement with Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) to facilitate video conferencing services using Zoom Application Licenses for Government Organizations.

Dhaka, May 20, 2025 — Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) for the latter to facilitate video conferencing services using Zoom application licenses for government organizations across the country.

This agreement falls under the ICT Division’s initiative, “Strengthening of Government Video Conferencing Platform Project,” which aims to modernize and expand the government’s capacity for virtual meetings and communications through a secure and reliable platform.
