NBR made an amendment through SRO No. 393-Law/2024/264-VAT reduces the VAT on specific imported goods under H.S. Codes 15.07, 15.11, and 15.18 (including refined soybean oil, crude soybean oil, crude palm oil, and refined palm oil) from 10% to 5%.

Key Details:

Previous Rate (SRO No. 356-Law/2024/262-VAT):
VAT on the listed goods was reduced from 15% to 10% on October 17, 2024, effective until December 15, 2024.

Amendment (SRO No. 393-Law/2024/264-VAT):
VAT is further reduced from 10% to 5%.
The amendment takes immediate effect.

This change aims to reduce costs and support the import of essential edible oils, benefiting consumers and businesses reliant on these imports.

করবছর ২০২৪-২০২৫ এর ব্যক্তি আয়কর রিটার্ন দাখিল ১লা জুলাই হতে শুরু হয়েছে । ৩১শে ডিসেম্বর মধ্যে আপনার আয়কর রিটার্ণ দাখিল করুন। উক্ত সময়ের মধ্যে আপনি আপনার আয়কর রিটার্ণ দাখিল না করলে জরিমানা এবং কররেয়াত বাতিল হয়ে যাবে। সে ক্ষেত্রে আপনার করনায় বেড়ে যাবে। তাই দেরি না করে আপনার আয়কর রিটার্ণটি আমাদের দক্ষ আয়কর আইনজীবী মাধ্যমে রিটার্ণ প্রস্তুত ও পরামর্শ নিন।

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has issued SRO No. 368-Ain/Income Tax-49/2024, under the authority of Section 76, Sub-section (1) of the Income Tax Act, 2023.
This order designates the Center for Zakat Management (CZM) as a welfare organization under Part 3, Clause 13 of the Sixth Schedule of the Income Tax Act. Consequently, any donations made to the Center for Zakat Management by taxpayers will be exempt from taxable income for the donor under the provisions of the Income Tax Act.
