Mr. Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, MP, Honourable Minister for Commerce, Industries and Textiles & Jute, inaugurated the 1st International Dhaka Industrial Packaging Expo 2026 on Thursday, 7 May, at Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC), Agargaon, Dhaka.

The three-day expo has been organised by Bangladesh Flexible Packaging Industries Association (BFPIA), with Tampaco Group as co-sponsor.

Safius Sami Alamgir, President of Bangladesh Flexible Packaging Industries Association (BFPIA) and Managing Director of Tampaco Group, presented the keynote paper at the inauguration ceremony.

Md Abdur Rahim Khan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, and Administrator of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), and Mohammad Hasan Arif, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), attended the event as special guests.

Bangladesh Government has recognised “Paper and Packaging” as the Product of the Year 2026.

Tampaco’s sustainability effort includes reusing heat energy to transfer heat in process machines and using closed loop circuit to save heat energy. Furthermore, the factory reuses water, conserves electrical energy, and the layout has been designed to maximize the use of daylight and ensure natural air circulation.
