গত কয়েক সপ্তাহ ধরে, সমিট কমিউনিকেশনস ডিস্ট্রিবিউটেড ডিনায়াল অফ সার্ভিস (DDoS) আক্রমণের শিকার হয়েছে — যা মূলত নকল ট্রাফিকের মাধ্যমে আমাদের নেটওয়ার্ককে ব্যস্ত করার উদ্দেশ্যে করা হয়েছে। ফলে কিছু সম্মানিত গ্রাহকের জন্য সাময়িক বিঘ্ন ঘটেছে।
আমাদের দক্ষ টিম ২৪/৭ কাজ করে যাচ্ছে, বিভিন্ন নিরাপত্তা স্তর (দুটি ক্লাউডভিত্তিক এবং একটি অন-প্রিমাইজ সিস্টেম) ব্যবহার করে নেটওয়ার্ক স্থিতিশীল এবং সুরক্ষিত রাখার জন্য। যেকোনো অপ্রত্যাশিত অসুবিধার জন্য আমরা আন্তরিকভাবে দুঃখ প্রকাশ করছি এবং আমাদের গ্রাহকদের ধৈর্য ও আস্থা রাখার জন্য ধন্যবাদ জানাচ্ছি।
একটি DDoS আক্রমণ এরূপ, যেমন হাজার হাজার গাড়ি একসাথে এক-লেন ব্রিজ পার হতে চায়, ফলে প্রকৃত ব্যবহারকারীরা তাদের গন্তব্যে পৌঁছাতে পারে না। এই আক্রমণগুলি ক্ষতিকর এবং দুঃখজনকভাবে ডার্ক ওয়েবে সহজেই কেনা যায়।
আমরা এই সুযোগে আমাদের আইসিটি ও টেলিকম খাতের সহকর্মীদের স্মরণ করিয়ে দিতে চাই যেন তারা এই ধরনের আক্রমণের বিরুদ্ধে সতর্ক থাকে এবং যৌথ সাইবার নিরাপত্তা শক্তিশালী করে।

Over the past few weeks, Summit Communications has been targeted by a series of DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks — deliberate attempts to overwhelm our network with fake traffic, causing temporary disruptions for some of our valued clients.
Our dedicated teams have been working around the clock, deploying multiple layers of protection (including two cloud-based and one on-premise system) to stabilize and secure the network. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank our clients for their continued patience and trust.
A DDoS attack is like thousands of cars trying to cross a one-lane bridge at once, blocking legitimate users from reaching their destination. These attacks are malicious and, unfortunately, can even be purchased easily on the dark web.
We also take this opportunity to remind our ICT and telecom peers to stay vigilant against such attacks and strengthen collective cyber defenses.
