রামাদানের শ্রেষ্ঠ উপহার : 'আমাকে ক্ষমা করুন'

আল্লাহ তাআলার ক্ষমা ছাড়া পৃথিবী ও পরবর্তী জগতে কোনো ধরনের বেনিফিট অর্জন করা সম্ভব। রামাদান শুরু হয়েছে, আল্লাহ যদি এই পবিত্র মাসে আমাদের ক্ষমা না করেন তবে রামাদানের কোনো মূল্যই রইল না।

বুখারি শরীফের হাদিসে আছে- যে সাওয়াবের আশায় রোযা রাখে তার পূর্বের গুনাহ মাফ করে দেওয়া হয়। কিন্তু এগুলো হচ্ছে ছোট ছোট গুনাহ। বড় গুনাহ নয়। বড় গুনাহ তাওবা ব্যতীত ক্ষমা করা হয় না। আল্লাহ তাআলা বলছেন—وَمَن يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا أَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اللّهَ يَجِدِ اللّهَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا-
'যে গোনাহ করে কিংবা নিজের অনিষ্ট করে, অতঃপর আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করে, সে আল্লাহকে ক্ষমাশীল, করুণাময় পায়।'

আল্লাহ তাআলার কাছে ক্ষমা চাইতে হবে। কীভাবে তাওবা করতে হবে তা 'ইলাল উখতিল মুসলিমা' থেকে সংক্ষেপে তুলে ধরা হলো।

তাওবা অর্থ—ফিরে আসা বা বিরত থাকা। শয়তানের প্ররোচনায় কোনো পাপকাজ করে ফেললে তা বুঝে আসামাত্র দুঃখিত-অনুতপ্ত ও লজ্জিত হয়ে তখনই পাপ পরিত্যাগ করা এবং আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা করে এই প্রতিজ্ঞা করা যে, ভবিষ্যতে তা আর কখনোই করবো না; এর নাম তাওবা।
