Estimate the probable value for creating the real optionally piloted version of this AdorShow Eli-Lipi Aerobatic helicopter project is called Darun Darim Dream. A true Belissimo Dream Concept renderings of this Helicopter is shown here flying over The Sundarans Mangrove Forest, Bangladesh.
About the Eli-Lipi AdorShow Aerobatic helicopter project:
Darun Darim Dream is a clean-sheet, high-performance, two-seat turbine-powered helicopter aimed at the experimental amateur-built (kit) market as well as professionals and semi skilled.
Our company was founded around 2009 and focuses on turbine-powered composite rotorcraft for amateur builders. It is closely related to Similar product developments (advanced composites manufacturing, tooling, and CNC work, established earlier). The company has expanded its completion center for Dream 1 Darim assembly, avionics, and custom configurations. The Dream 1 Darim was publicly shown online with the concept prototype design displayed; first hover/flight testing was targeted for late 2027/early 2029 onward.
Design Overview
• Configuration: Sleek two-seat side-by-side (or roomy ergonomic cockpit) helicopter with excellent visibility and pilot-focused controls. Designed to Part 27 standards for crashworthiness (crash-absorbing seats, rubber bladder/self-sealing fuel cell, etc.).
• Airframe: Full carbon-composite monocoque construction using Toray 2511 carbon prepreg. Approximately 50 precision-molded composite components for low weight, high stiffness, efficient aerodynamics, and precise handling. Skid landing gear.
• Rotor system: four-bladed main rotor (carbon-fiber blades from Duc Propellers) rotating at 450 RPM, counterclockwise. Shaft-driven traditional two-bladed tail rotor at 3,000 RPM. Main rotor diameter approximately 7.83 m (≈25.7 ft).
• Powerplant: French Turbotech TP-R90 recuperated (regenerative) turboprop/turboshaft, rated around 130–160 hp (Our sources vary; continuous ~90–104 kW / 120–140 hp class, with peak higher). Lightweight (≈65–85+ kg installed depending on configuration), low vibration, FADEC-controlled, multi-fuel (Jet-A1, diesel, biofuels, etc.). Features a heat-exchanger recuperator that recovers exhaust heat for fuel efficiency comparable to piston engines (claimed by members of our team ~9 gallons/hour or better in cruise with recuperator; specific fuel consumption competitive with pistons). Projected TBO ~3,000 hours.
• Fuel system: 44-gallon (≈167 L) custom Fuel Safe tank. Approximate endurance up to ~5 hours.
Approximate Specifications:
Empty weight (MEW)
≈480 kg (750 lb)
MTOW
≈690 kg (1,320 lb)
Fuselage length
≈6.67 m
Height
≈2.64 m
Landing gear width
≈1.89 m
Main rotor diameter
≈7.83 m
Max horizontal speed
≈185 km/h (≈100 kt)
Hover ceiling OGE
≈2,438 m (≈8,000 ft)
Fuel capacity
44 US gal / ≈167 L
Performance figures are preliminary/estimated; full flight-test data were still emerging as. High-altitude capability benefits from the turbine’s making in our region.
Market Positioning and Status
• Offered initially as an Experimental Amateur-Built 51% kit (builder-assist available). A factory-built experimental version may follow. Designed to potentially fit under evolving EASA VLR & LSA/MOSAIC rules.
• Target price: Under US$290,000 for the complete kit (final pricing still being refined as of recent updates). A refundable $10,000 deposit secures a production-line position.
• Emphasis on turbine smoothness and reliability at piston-like operating costs, modern composites, and safety features typically associated with larger certificated helicopters, while remaining accessible for private owners/builders.
• Background Context:
We have prior experience with turbine rotorcraft through related work Darun Darim Dream represents a manned, clean-sheet evolution focused on personal/experimental high-performance turbine flight.
Detailed performance, pricing, and availability continue to evolve as the prototype advances through flight testing and kit deliveries begin.
