Some conversations deserve more space.

With Bate Papo, brings Mozambican voices together to talk openly about culture, identity, belonging and the realities of growing up between different worlds.

No polished answers or right and wrong perspectives. Just honest conversations, different experiences and room to understand each other.

We’re proud to have played a part in bringing Bate Papo to life and creating a setting where those conversations feel natural, open and real.

Good luck guys! 🇲🇿

Why FeWhale?

Because whales don’t create what the ocean needs. They bring it where it makes a difference.

In the Southern Ocean, there’s plenty of nitrate and phosphate. Yet growth is limited by one scarce nutrient: iron. Whales recycle that iron and bring it back to the surface, helping the entire ecosystem thrive.

That idea sits at the heart of FeWhale.

Every female entrepreneur already has potential. The question isn’t what she lacks. It’s what’s currently standing between that potential and growth.

FeWhale is about finding that constraint, whether it’s access, knowledge, network, funding or something else, and addressing it where it matters most.

Fe = iron.
Fe = female.
Whale = the force that gets the right resource to the right place.

That’s FeWhale. 🐋

Last week, our Impact Hub team visited Love Tomorrow, and one idea has stayed with us ever since.

Real human connection needs a little friction. It takes effort to show up, start conversations, listen to different perspectives, and build a community. Sure, we could have watched the talks online or asked AI to summarize every keynote in seconds. But that's not why we went.

The best moments weren't just on stage. They happened in the unexpected conversations, the shared experiences, and even while hitchhiking out of the festival. Those are the moments technology can't recreate.

We left with fresh ideas, but more importantly, with a reminder of why community matters. Here's to choosing connection, even when it's not the easiest option. 💚

Researcher at the University of California found that 49% of entrepreneurs surveyed were dealing with at least one mental illness (such as ADD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, addiction, depression, or anxiety) and about one third of entrepreneurs struggle with 2 or more mental illnesses.

Is it possible that the dips in depression might give way to smart solutions and ideas. A manic episode can sometimes enlighten. ADHD prompts fast decision-making. And combined, these struggles may incubate tremendous creativity that inspires would-be entrepreneurs to take a chance on their ideas? No conrete facts for you there.

But seeing these stats has us asking, why isn’t entrepreneurial mental health a bigger topic of discussion? And why isn’t it discussed more in entrepreneurial programs?

Today, we attended the final event of the **baSE (Blueprint for Advanced Skills & Trainings in the Social Economy)** project at the Circularium in Brussels.

Over the past four years, the Erasmus+ funded baSE project has brought together partners from across Europe to explore how we can better prepare the Social Economy for the future by addressing skills gaps and promoting lifelong learning.

One message came through loud and clear: the skills our sector needs are constantly evolving. That means we need to keep creating opportunities for people to learn, adapt, and grow throughout our careers.

Another important discussion focused on inclusivity. Learning should be accessible to everyone, whether through MOOCs or other flexible learning opportunities, so that no one is left behind as the Social Economy continues to evolve.

At Impact Hub, these conversations really resonate with us. Creating spaces where people can learn, connect, and build new skills is at the heart of what we do, and it’s inspiring to see so many organisations across Europe working towards the same goal.
