THE LIVING SHOWROOM at Antwerp Design Week 2026 by WOOL & WIRE (Effortless Comfort Crafted by Hand in Europe) and BENOFICE (Furniture Connaisseurs)

At The Living Showroom, Belgian craftsmanship and contemporary design come together through two standout launches. Luc Binst and Wool & Wire introduce the Antwerp rug collection, inspired by the geometric façade of the Aequor residential tower in Antwerp’s Het Eilandje district. Made by European artisans using sustainably sourced New Zealand wool and TENCEL™ lyocell, the rugs translate architectural form into soft, tactile interiors that enhance comfort and calm.

The event also presents the “Best of MillerKnoll Furniture” by Benofice. Hosted in a restored 18th-century rococo palace, the showcase features iconic pieces from the MillerKnoll family, including Knoll, Herman Miller and Muuto, alongside talks on workspace innovation and ergonomics.

SOLIDIFIED – Recap Milan Design Week 2026

David Heldt and Sanne Kaal presented a collective exhibition exploring coherence through material, form, and composition. Thank you for visiting the show, attending the opening or the talk.

In contrary with many other presentations in Milan, there was no involvement of eg. multinational brands (alchohol, banks, cars, fashion, finance, hardware, software, suppliers, to***co, trade fair shows), chambers of commerce, city councils, governments, museums, sponsors, etc.

During Milan Design Week was the launch of the URCHINA LIGHT designed by Studio Roderick Vos for MOOOI ! Urchina Light is a floating constellation of slender carbon rods inspired by the symmetry and rhythm of sea urchins – expressive by day and atmospheric by night.

Roderick created new lighting defined by craftsmanship, material clarity and character – a design that feels intuitive, emotional and made to last.

Mimicking nature’s rhythm from the inside out, Urchina Light by Studio Roderick Vos feels less like an object and more like a living presence suspended in air. Inspired by the symmetry of sea urchins, Studio Roderick Vos translated an underwater anatomy into a floating constellation of light with slender carbon rods reaching outward, glowing gently at their tips. This creates a weightless silhouette that feels expressive by day and atmospheric by night.

As evening falls, its personality shifts: a hidden downlight adds warm function, while a soft uplight creates an ambient glow overhead. Available in four sizes and designed with modular, replaceable components, Urchina Light is made for longevity – an object that drifts between expression and atmosphere with effortless ease.
