KODAK MEDALIST I, AT THE APEX OF AMERICAN CAMERA DESIGN

The Kodak Medalist is a high-quality medium format rangefinder camera making 6x9 exposures on 620 film. The camera was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague and Joe Mihalyi. The first model was reportedly used by multiple branches of the U.S. Armed Forces during WW II. In many ways, this was an ideal camera for military use, being solid cast metal with a fairly rugged mechanism producing a large negative. Lens has EE-code so made before 1944 (military use)!. The Medalist in this auction is in a good and complete condition but it was not tested with film. It comes with the rare original leather case.

FRITZ VÖLK HK-12.5 HANDKAMMER – RARE LUFTWAFFE WORLD WAR II AERIAL CAMERA

This aerial camera, built by Fritz Völk Berlin in the early 1940s, was used by the German Luftwaffe in WWII and produced 7x9 cm handheld roll-film images. A recovered example inspired Victor Hasselblad to develop the HK-7 and later Hasselblad magazine cameras.

This unit features a Xenon 125 mm 1:2 lens, original orange filter, and rare lens cap. It is a sand-colored variant, possibly used in Africa, in good condition with a working shutter, but untested with film.

Linhof Kardan Master L, a professional modular large-format camera introduced by the renowned German manufacturer Linhof in the 1970s. Known for its exceptional stability, robust construction, and highly precise movements, the camera features Linhof’s distinctive asymmetrical L-shaped design, allowing tilt and swing movements to operate exactly through the center of the film plane and lens.

Supplied as a 4x5” system with bellows and back, including a 150mm f/5.6 Symmar-S lens (no. 12233650), angle finder, set of Fidelity film holders, Linhof 1929 compendium, Polaroid 545, several brochures, two large-format photography books, and a Rodenstock Depth of Field Calculator.

LEICA M4-P “1913-1983” EDITION

Leica M4-P “1913–1983”, a limited anniversary edition of 2,500 cameras released to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the UR-Leica. Finished in chrome and featuring the special “1913–1983” engraving with anniversary code I 026.

Recently serviced and supplied in its original packaging with strap, certificate dated 01/04/1983, Dutch manual, and original commemorative postcards. Minor signs of handling are visible, but overall the camera remains in excellent condition. Serial number: 1618738
