🇺🇦🇪🇺 An interesting interview with Deputy Prime Minister Vsevolod Chentsov, who is also an Honorary Counsellor of the Belgium–Ukraine Business Club, on Ukraine’s European integration and the next steps towards EU membership.

Всеволод Ченцов став віцепрем’єром з європейської інтеграції ще у липні, рівно три місяці тому, але досі утримувався від інтерв’ю. І це можна зрозуміти: через угорське блокування руху України до ЄС було складно робити прогнози і давати конкретні обіцянки.

Минулого тижня вето остаточно впало, а зустріч двох лідерів — Володимира Зеленського та Петера Мадяра — дала підстави розраховувати на перезавантаження відносин.

Одночасно стало помітним потепління у відносинах зі ще одним сусідом — Польщею.

Ми поговорили з віцепрем’єром у Брюсселі, після завершення саміту, і в цій розмові він розкрив деякі деталі домовленості, які досі лишалися непублічними.

🤝 Ihor Dobrovan, CEO of Prozorro.Sale, and Kris Beckers, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium and Chairman of the Belgium–Ukraine Business Club, signed a memorandum on partnership and cooperation.
⠀
The aim of the cooperation is to inform Belgian investors more about Prozorro.Sales, expand opportunities for attracting Belgian businesses and investors to the Ukrainian market, promote the development of economic ties between the countries, and support the economic recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.

As part of the partnership, the parties plan to:
🔹 Introduce Belgian entrepreneurs and investors to opportunities to participate in Prozorro.Sale online auctions;
🔹 Facilitate the search for potential investors and partners and the establishment of business contacts;
🔹 Organize joint business events, meetings and conferences;
🔹 Promote Ukraine's investment opportunities and transparent mechanisms for access to assets.

This is another step towards expanding international cooperation and attracting investment into the Ukrainian economy.

Володимир Зеленський Вчора вранці Росія знову вдарила дроном по Північному мосту в Києві. Дронами також атакували звичайний склад медичних препаратів у Сумах. Одна людина, на жаль, загинула. Наші співчуття рідним та близьким. У Дніпрі вдарили по підприємству зв’язку. Шість людей було поранено внаслідок цих ударів.

За ніч Росія випустила по Україні 135 ударних дронів, понад 50 із них – реактивні. Під ударами були Київ, Дніпровщина, Харківщина, Донеччина, Сумщина та Запоріжжя. І серед головних цілей цих терористів, як завжди, звичайні житлові будинки, критична інфраструктура – все, що формує звичайне повсякденне життя. У деяких громадах були відключення світла. Українські служби працювали на місцях.

Важливо, щоб Україна не залишалася наодинці проти цього терору. Тільки протягом минулого тижня Росія застосувала проти України понад 1900 ударних дронів, 1700 авіабомб і 25 ракет. Понад 800 дронів були реактивними, і Росія має відповідати за цю ескалацію.

Вчора у Києві з візитом перебував Фрідріх Мерц, Федеральний канцлер Німеччини – країни, яка послідовно демонструє лідерство в захисті життів українців та українок від російських ударів. Ми вдячні Німеччині за всю підтримку України. Під час візиту обговорювалися рішення, спрямовані на посилення можливостей України та всієї Європи захищатися. Важливе значення має подальша співпраця та домовленості між Україною та Німеччиною. Росію потрібно зупиняти разом. Дякуємо всім, хто допомагає Україні.

Yesterday morning, Russia once again struck the Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv with a drone. Drones also attacked an ordinary pharmaceutical warehouse in Sumy. Tragically, one person was killed. Our condolences to the family and loved ones. In Dnipro, a communications facility was struck. Six people were injured as a result of these attacks.

Overnight, Russia launched 135 attack drones against Ukraine, more than 50 of them jet-powered. Kyiv, the Dnipro, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions came under attack. And among the main targets of these terrorists, as always, are ordinary residential buildings and critical infrastructure – everything that makes up normal everyday life. There were power outages in some communities. Ukrainian services were working at the impact sites.

It is important that Ukraine is not left alone against this terror. Over the past week alone, Russia used more than 1,900 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 25 missiles against Ukraine. More than 800 of the drones were jet-powered, and Russia must be held accountable for this escalation.

Yesterday, Friedrich Merz, Federal Chancellor of Germany, visited Kyiv. Germany has consistently demonstrated leadership in protecting the lives of Ukrainians from Russian strikes. We are grateful to Germany for all its support for Ukraine. During the visit, decisions aimed at strengthening the ability of Ukraine and all of Europe to defend themselves were discussed. Further cooperation and agreements between Ukraine and Germany are of great importance. Russia must be stopped together. Thank you to everyone who is helping Ukraine.

🔹 Бельгійська фінансова установа розвитку BIO (Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries) інвестує $6 млн у Rebuild Ukraine Fund (REBUF) – перший фонд прямих інвестицій, створений після початку повномасштабної війни для інвестування в реальні активи в Україні. Фондом управляє Dragon Capital.

🔹 REBUF надає капітал для розвитку українських компаній у секторах, критично важливих для економічної стійкості та відбудови України.

🤝 Завдяки цій інвестиції Бельгія допоможе українському бізнесу отримати необхідне фінансування для підтримки роботи, адаптації до викликів та подальшого розвитку.

🇧🇪 🇺🇦Belgium invests $6M in the Rebuild Ukraine Fund to support Ukrainian businesses

🔹 The Belgian development finance institution BIO (Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries) is investing $6M in the Rebuild Ukraine Fund (REBUF) – the first private equity fund established after the start of the full-scale war to invest in real assets in Ukraine. The fund is managed by Dragon Capital.

🔹 REBUF provides capital for the development of Ukrainian companies in sectors critical to Ukraine’s economic resilience and reconstruction.

🤝 Through this investment, Belgium will help Ukrainian businesses secure the necessary financing to sustain operations, adapt to challenges, and continue growing.

💬 “BIO’s investment is a powerful signal to the entire world that, despite the full-scale war, Ukraine remains a promising destination for investment. This funding will help develop key areas of our economic resilience: SMEs, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, building materials manufacturing, agro-related sectors, technologies, and retail,” – Deputy Minister Vitaly Kindrativ.

🇧🇪 Віцепрем’єр-міністр Максім Прево та 🇺🇦 Міністр охорони здоров’я Віктор Ляшко відкрили операційні для щелепно-лицевої хірургії в Києві
Два операційні блоки в Київській обласній клінічній лікарні відремонтували та оснастили в межах програми BE-Relieve, яку реалізує агентство Enabel. Невдовзі коштом Бельгії також встановлять сучасну хірургічну навігаційну систему, необхідну для складних втручань на обличчі й черепі.
🪡 Enabel підтримує розвиток щелепно-лицевої хірургії в партнерстві з Міністерство охорони здоров'я України та Superhumans Center. Проєкт передбачає створення центрів експертизи в Києві та Львові. До ініціативи залучена й бельгійська компанія Materialise, яка виробляє індивідуальні 3D-імпланти для реконструкції кісток обличчя та щелеп.
На відкритті операційних бельгійська делегація поспілкувалася з ветеранами, які успішно пройшли багатоетапне лікування після поранень, і професором Андрієм Копчаком, експертом із щелепно-лицевої хірургії.
🗣 «За кожною тяжкою травмою обличчя стоїть людина, яка хоче повернути собі гідність і самостійність та знову жити повноцінним життям. Технології, розроблені в Бельгії, сьогодні дають українським лікарям змогу проводити надзвичайно складні реконструктивні операції. Це конкретна експертиза, яку ми можемо поставити на службу людям, пораненим у цій війні», – наголосив Віцепрем’єр-міністр Бельгії Максім Прево.
🏥 Загальний обсяг бельгійських інвестицій у Київська обласна клінічна лікарня становить понад 2,5 млн євро. Раніше з бюджету програми BE-Relieve було облаштовано інклюзивний вхід та оновлено ліфти в одному з корпусів лікарні. Також завершується реалізація простору Care for Carers для психологічного розвантаження медиків.

🇧🇪 Deputy Prime Minister Maxime Prévot and 🇺🇦 Minister of Health Viktor Liashko inaugurate new operating theatres in Kyiv
Two operating theatres have been renovated and equipped for craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgery under the BE-Relieve programme, implemented by Enabel. A modern surgical navigation system for complex facial and cranial procedures is also due to be installed shortly, funded by Belgium.
🪡 Enabel supports the development of CMF surgery in partnership with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Superhumans War Trauma Centre. The project encompasses the establishment of centres of CMF expertise in Kyiv and Lviv. The Belgian company Materialise, which produces patient-specific 3D implants for facial and jaw reconstruction, is also part of the initiative.
At the inauguration, the Belgian delegation spoke with veterans who had successfully completed multi-stage treatment following their injuries, as well as with Professor Andrii Kopchak, a CMF surgery expert.
🗣 “Behind every serious facial injury is a person who wants to regain their dignity and independence, and get their life back on track. Technology developed in Belgium now allows Ukrainian doctors to carry out extremely complex reconstructive surgeries. This is very concrete expertise that we can put to the service of those wounded in this war,” said Deputy Prime Minister Prévot.
🏥 The total Belgian support package for Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital now exceeds EUR 2.5 million. BE-Relieve funding previously supported the construction of an accessible entrance and upgrades to lifts in one of the hospital’s buildings. The Care for Carers recovery space for medical staff is also nearing completion.

Last week, we were able to load another truck with humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

A sincere thank you to AZ Herentals for donating valuable medical equipment, hospital beds, medical supplies and surgical materials.

We also express our sincere appreciation to NGO De Leeuw Kyiv for coordinating the transport and helping to ensure that these humanitarian goods reach the places where they are most needed.

This is another great example of how cooperation and solidarity can make a real difference.

This project was carried out under the umbrella of the Belgium–Ukraine Business Club. The BUBC remains committed to continuing to support Ukraine in every way we can.

Post-URC Strategic Session | Brussels

Today in Brussels, the Post-URC Strategic Session for Business Associations and Member States was organised by the European Commission, DG ENEST, at the Ukrainian House in Brussels.

The session focused on translating project ideas into concrete, finance-ready investments that can support Ukraine’s economic recovery and long-term reconstruction.

It was valuable to exchange views with representatives of the European Commission, UkraineInvest, Member States, business associations and other stakeholders committed to strengthening EU–Ukraine economic cooperation.

Events like this demonstrate the importance of practical cooperation, coordinated support and continued private sector engagement to help turn investment opportunities into reality.

Pleased to have participated in this interesting and constructive session.

During URC 2026 in Gdańsk, I had the pleasure of meeting Alexander De Croo, former Prime Minister of Belgium and now Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

His continued engagement with Ukraine, now also through his important role at United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, is highly valuable as the country continues to focus on recovery, reconstruction and long-term sustainable development.

The support of the United Nations and its agencies remains essential in helping Ukraine strengthen its resilience and build a stable future.
