AAC ReUse began with a clear request: to create an identity for an existing practice within AAC focused on material reuse. The aim was not to invent something new, but to make existing work more visible and easier to read. The project is rooted in the studio’s day-to-day workflow and in a shared tool: Google Docs, a simple platform that shapes how the team collaborates, writes, reviews and shares documents.

From there, in collaboration with Mathieu Lauwers, we created a graphic language using typefaces available in Google Docs and layouts designed for the project. A lightweight system made to support content while remaining easy to use. Reuse then became an entry point into a broader reading of the office. AAC+ extends this logic, bringing AAC’s different practices together through one shared language, without redefining the studio but by making more visible what already shapes its identity.

Legendary entities in the Brussels’ literary scene since the 1970s, À Livre Ouvert and Le Rat Conteur are two neighboring bookstores dedicated to general literature and children’s publications that function as one. During the Covid crisis, the store approached us to create a common identity for the two brands. We created a new logo and a visual campaign based on illustrations that conveyed the shop’s core values. The branding unfolded on social media and networking websites at the height of the pandemic, followed by merchandise and the shop’s façade which positioned the store clearly as a large-scale spot where bookworms, curious kids, and literary lovers unite!

The Musée Charlier, housed in a beautifully preserved 19th-century Brussels mansion, showcases an exceptional collection of Belgian art. Originally a private residence redesigned by Victor Horta, it evolved into a museum celebrating the art of its era. In 2022, we redesigned the museum’s visual identity to reflect its unique character: blending solemnity, modernity, and the elegant, intimate atmosphere of its salons, while embodying the bold, innovative spirit of founder Henri Van Cutsem.

Our design centred on the museum’s artworks, drawing colours and imagery directly from its collection. Each season, brochures highlight a featured work, with all communication adopting hues inspired by that piece. A bespoke logotype was also created, referencing the 1925 plaque commemorating the donation of the building and collection, reinforcing its historical significance.

When Stephanie Lamoline was cleaning out her late father's house, she found a box of Polaroids he had taken while working as an engineer between 1996 and 2001. The creative and cathartic process that followed would lead to her first steps as an artist and the art book titled Quatre Mains / Zonder Handen.

Stephanie engaged us to design the book, which is a limited edition and exhibited around the world. We created two distinct sections that reflect the dualistic nature of the communication contained within the pages. The title of the work equally and poetically reflects the dichotomies that Stéphanie contends with in her process of grief.
