Our Circular.brussels team in action! Here you see them permanently removing all data from storage devices, such as a hard drives, solid-state drives (SSD), or a flash drives. It is actually called the 'datawiping process'.

When depreciated ICT arrives at Circular.brussels, our specialized team ensures that sensitive or confidential information cannot be recovered after the device is no longer in use or is being repurposed.

This allows companies to rely on Circular.brussels for worry-free pick-up of their old ICT equipment. After all, their data is in safe hands.

Oh boy, how we are going to miss these youngsters here at Circular.brussels

The end the internship of these promising young talents is approaching!

Thanks to our collaboration with Erasmus plus project of the European Commission commission, young adults from abroad can intern at Circular.brussels to gain valuable practical experience in a country other than their own. During the internship, these people also receive language lessons so that they return to their country with a backpack full of knowledge.

We wish them every success in their professional lives. For our part, we have already made a few more friends!

Vandaag kregen we bezoek van de ELZ Leuven Noord.

Met hun speciaal uitgeruste bestelwagen bezoeken zij lokale evenementen zodat het verkrijgen van digitale hulp nog laagdrempeliger wordt voor diegenen die er nood aan hebben.

Circular.brussels levert dan weer volledig geïnstalleerde laptops die ingezet zullen worden bij allerlei projecten ter bevordering van digitale inclusie.

We zijn dan ook zeer verheugd met deze samenwerking!

Ict for a good cause!

We were contacted by Gilead Sciences to collect their employees' old ict. Marianne Voets and Nurhan Sali from Gilead took the great initiative to organise a collection from the employees, resulting in a wonderful outcome!

The devices that can be reused will find their way back into all kinds of social projects. But ICT can be used for good in many ways.

Here are a few examples of how Circular.brussels uses the picked up materials:

Education: We use ICT to enhance and improve the learning experience for students by providing them with access to online educational resources, virtual classrooms, and digital learning materials.

Social justice: We use ICT to promote social justice by providing platforms for marginalized communities to share their stories and connect with others who share similar experiences.

These are just a few examples of how Circular.brusses uses ICT for good. By leveraging the power of technology, we can address many of the world's most pressing challenges and create a better future for everyone.

Vorige week hebben we met Circular.brussels de van Leuven Noord voorzien van een mooie partij refurbished laptops. Dit stemt ons gelukkig want als partner in dit project, samen met Link in de Kabel VZW en Repair&Share, zorgen we voor een bevordering van digitale inclusie.

Onze gezamenlijke inspanningen in het digibankenproject omvatten de verbetering van de internetinfrastructuur, opleidingen in digitale vaardigheden en het creëren van digitale hulpmiddelen en instrumenten die voor iedereen toegankelijk zijn.

Digitale inclusie is belangrijk omdat het helpt de digitale kloof te overbruggen en ongelijkheid te verminderen. Zonder toegang tot digitale technologieën hebben mensen wellicht geen toegang tot belangrijke informatie, arbeidskansen, gezondheidszorg en andere belangrijke middelen 💙
