It's a known tradition that every year during Aula's summer party the weather is always spectacular. This time we might have broken a record though, because it is +34 and humid in Brussels. Hopefully the 150 kilograms of ice we ordered will be enough to keep the drinks cold through the night.

Päivän Helsingin Sanomissa haastatellaan Henkkaa osana Suomen ulkosuhteista kertovaa sarjaa.

Henkka torppaa muun muassa puheet EU:n epädemokraattisuudesta:

”Siinä on suorilla vaaleilla ja epäsuorilla vaaleilla valittuja ihmisiä. En tiedä mikä on demokraattisempi malli. EU on niin demokraattinen, että se jo hidastaa ja vaikeuttaa päätöksentekoa.”

Eurooppa-päivän kunniaksi vinkki niille, jotka vierastavat EU:n korulauseita: Euroopan hiili- ja teräsyhteisön perustamista ehdottavan Schumanin julistuksen vuodelta 1950 voi käydä lukemassa alla olevan linkin kautta joko Stadin slangilla, Tampereen kiälellä tai Porin murteella.

"Eurooppaa ei rakenneta hetkessä eikä millään kokonaisratkaisulla." Tai toisin sanoen: "Ku Eurooppaa lähetää byggaan, ni eka pitää snaijaa, et hommaha ei tapahdu iha yhtäkkii tost vaa."
