Verdiepingscursus Public Affairs en de EU

Lodewijk Buschkens en Mendeltje van Keulen organiseren dit voorjaar de 'Verdiepingscursus Public Affairs en de EU' van het Centre for Professional Learning - Universiteit Leiden.

Leidinggevenden en public affairs specialisten binnen bedrijven, (decentrale) overheden, overheidsorganisaties en NGO’s bieden we met deze leergang een verdiepingsslag ‘Europees werken’.

Gedurende vier dagen ga je op geheel nieuwe wijze kennismaken met de Europese Unie én aan de slag met jouw lobbydossier.

Join our seminar "Energy Storage and Management Solutions"
9th October 2019 @ Dutch Permanent Representation to the EU

Expect key note speeches from the European Commission, European Parliament (ITRE Member) and the EIB, as well as breakout sessions with leading individuals from the University of Wageningen, the industry and government. Mr Jan van Dellen, vice mayor of the City of Arnhem, will open the seminar.

Energy storage will play a vital role in the transformation to a fully sustainable and clean supply of energy. Solar and wind energy can only be used at all times when sufficient energy storage and smart grids are available. This provides the necessary flexibility in energy supply and demand. Storage solutions can be found in batteries and alternative fuels such as hydrogen. Energy Storage & Management Solutions are an indispensable part of the energy system of the future.

This seminar brings together EU officials and regional and national stakeholders to share views, policy, innovations and best practices.

The plenary sessions will focus on EU storage policy. The three break-out sessions focus on building European projects for energy storage solutions. The themes are mobility-related solutions, hydrogen and batteries. Eight companies from the East Netherlands Region will present their solutions for energy storage and management during these sessions.

The "Energy Storage and Management Solutions" seminar is organised by the East Netherlands Region and its partners as part of the EU Week of the Regions and Cities in Brussels.

"Digital Solutions in Health and Prevention" - 10th October 2018 - Seminar and networking drink to discuss the regional, national and EU developments with regard to the digital transformation of health and care.

Expect key note speeches by three Directorates-general (SANTE, CONNECT and RESEARCH) from the European Commission as well as a discussion panel with leading individuals from the University of Wageningen, the industry (Orikami), and government (Dutch Permanent Representation and DG CONNECT). Annemieke Traag, Member of the Executive Council of the Province Overijssel, will open the seminar.

Professor A. van den Berg will present the 'Top Fit Impact Programme' in which the University of Twente, Wageningen University and Research and the Radboud University Nijmegen as well as the Radboud University Medical Centre with regional industry and healthcare institutions are jointly aiming at preventing and reducing disease and the burden of disease.

Drones Conference 2017 in Brussels
"The missing link: Regulating the Development of Unmanned Systems"

You are cordially invited to participate in the conference “The Missing Link” which will be held on 11th October from 12:00 to 16:30 at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands in Brussels.

The Missing Link conference is organised by Municipality of Enschede and Province of Overijssel, public founding parties of the unmanned systems cluster Space53, together with Nokia. They intend to raise policymakers’ awareness and knowledge level regarding the development of unmanned systems. While harmonised EU regulations are being developed, there is still a lack of attention for regulations regarding testing newly developed unmanned systems. They call this ‘the missing link’, and intend to bridge this gap.
