🇪🇺 On 10 June, MUST & Partners — together with the offices of MEP Francesco Torselli and MEP Alessandro Ciriani — co-organised a high-level discussion at the European Parliament on "Data Centres, AI and the Energy Transition: The Role of European Industry."
The event brought together EU institutions, national representatives, and leading industrial players for a timely and highly relevant exchange on one of the key questions shaping Europe’s competitiveness agenda: how to align the rapid growth of digital infrastructure with the Union’s , energy, and industrial objectives.
We sincerely thank MEPs Francesco Torselli and Alessandro Ciriani for hosting and opening the discussion, and Marco Canaparo, Deputy Permanent Representative and Ambassador, for highlighting the role of Member States in connecting , and policy.
Our appreciation also goes to Serafino Sorrenti, Technical Secretariat of the Italian Undersecretary of State for Digital Transformation, and to Manuel Mateo Goyet (DG CONNECT) and Mugur George PAUNESCU (DG ENER), who contributed valuable institutional perspectives on centres, AI, energy efficiency, and the integration of digital infrastructure into the energy system.
We also thank the industrial stakeholders — Aruba SpA, A2A, Enel Group, Ericsson, newcleo, Nscale, Terna SpA and TIM — for bringing concrete business perspectives and showing how innovation is already delivering more efficient, flexible and sustainable data centre solutions across Europe.
A sincere thank you to all participants who contributed to making the discussion so rich and forward-looking.
