We need your help in putting international pressure on the Portuguese authorities following yet another horrific case of gender-based violence.

This time, the attack was fully captured on video — harrowing to watch — and widely circulated. And yet, there is growing fear that the crime will not be properly punished.

The incident occurred in Lisbon, in a parking garage:
A woman was brutally stabbed over 150 times by a man she had met on Tinder. She had simply said “no” — and for that alone, he stalked her and attacked her with savage violence.

Five men, including security personnel, were nearby. None were able to intervene in time.

She is now in hospital, gravely injured and deeply traumatised.
He is in custody — but justice in Portugal has too often been lenient in such cases.

We are calling for firm and exemplary justice.

Impunity kills.
As long as gender-based violence continues to be minimised or dismissed in courtrooms, society as a whole is complicit.

Please help raise awareness.
Share this case.
We need the eyes of the world on Portugal — not only to protect this woman, but to ensure real consequences for those who perpetrate violence against women.

Um bom dia neste feriado que celebra a importância e os direitos dos trabalhadores e trabalhadoras no mundo.

Obrigada a todas as pessoas que trabalham para produzir tudo o que nos permite ter as vidas que temos, desde a comida que nos chega à mesa, às redes de água e energia, saúde, educação, segurança, e tantas tantas coisas mais.

E obrigada a todas as pessoas que trabalham para que na Europa reforcemos a equidade e justiça social, condições de trabalho dignas, salários justos, segurança social…

Há muito para fazer, mas é importante celebrar o que já existe e continuar a reforçar uma visão de justiça e liberdade.

In a recent class I gave in the Women Leaders Program by , I had the pleasure to work with 180 brilliant C-suite alumnae from Brazil and Portugal.

Here’s a sneak peek at what we explored:

1. **Leadership Styles:**
We dissected various leadership styles—whether you’re a visionary, a collaborator, or a strategic thinker. Remember, great leaders adapt their style to different circumstances! 🌐

2. **Collaborative Team Leadership:**
In today’s dynamic context, leading a collaborative team is crucial. Understanding the roles of leadership and followership, and how to balance support and challenge, is key. Clear values, diversity and inclusion, courage, and integrity are some key ingredients for effective teams.

So moving to celebrate the anniversary of Timor Leste’s independence alongside so many champions of freedom and democracy. 🇹🇱

Reuniting with friends and leaders from decades ago brought back memories of our days as young changemakers, fighting to be heard during a genocide the world ignored. And recalled the decades of construction of a state after repression - an always slow and frequently convoluted process.

In today’s turbulent times, the need for leaders who uphold human rights and ethical values is more critical than ever.

So, as we celebrate 22 years of my birth place island’s independence, let’s amplify our voices and continue the fight for freedom and democracy.⚖️

Cheers to Timor Leste, to the indefatigable defenders of human rights and ethical
leaders around the world, and to all those who are inspired to carry the torch forward.
Together, we can make a difference!

🗂️I sometimes explain my multi-faceted professional life in the following way:

🌱“I plant seeds (of positive change),

writing notes for a stimulating collaboration in a great radio program called “Ponte” (“Bridge” in Portuguese 🌉) !

Amazing Afghan leaders! 💪

If it depended on the bright minds, talents, determination, and courage of these young women, Afghanistan could have a bright future ahead. 💪🏽

This first cohort of Afghan women (in Kazakhstan) is composed of 48 impressive, driven & enthusiastic students.🎓

It just finished today.
I feel so inspired, honoured, and connected to each one of them ! ♥️

Together with a great team, the key goal is to give them the skills they need to find the best professional solutions to the many challenges they have to face. Not a simple task…

Of course, I also felt the need to provide all the care & support I could.♥️ Because every day there were heartbreaking stories of how the barbaric Talibans continue driving the country to its biggest humanitarian crisis ever.
And how viciously they continue wiping out 15 million of women & girls of public spaces, education, life…🤯

Still, these girls continue working hard for education & a future, with resilience and hope! ….And struggle to support their community in all the ways they can.

They have a powerful voice - let us please do our best to LISTEN & support in any ways we can…🙏

Grateful and honored to be part of this process.👏
