Over the past two years, ERADICATING II has strengthened the skills of 700+ professionals across Europe, bringing together law enforcement, labour inspectors, NGOs, prosecutors, and frontline practitioners to improve identification, protection, and cooperation against trafficking.

From hands-on trainings to practical tools and a large-scale simulation exercise, the project shows how coordinated action makes a real difference.

From 1–3 October 2025, the Eradicating II Project hosted a realistic Master Simulation Exercise in Athens, bringing together law enforcement, prosecutors, labour inspectors, and civil society organizations from across Europe.

Participants stepped into the shoes of officers, investigators, and victims, navigating a complex trafficking case to practice detection, victim protection, and prosecution in a safe, controlled environment.

The Eradicating Labour Trafficking project has released an in-depth report on the risks of human trafficking for labour exploitation among Ukrainian refugees, with a focus on women and children. It highlights how prolonged displacement, economic hardship, and integration barriers increase vulnerability even years after the war began.

Based on research across six EU countries , , , , , and , the study combines desk research with insights from humanitarian actors, NGOs, law enforcement, and Ukrainian refugees themselves.

The report is publicly available and provides essential guidance for policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders working to prevent exploitation and protect Ukrainian refugees across Europe.
