A great opportunity to challenge ourselves, cheer on our colleagues and, of course, enjoy some friendly competition.
Cycling brings many of our colleagues together throughout the year, for training rides, challenges and events like this one. And that’s what makes it more than just a sport for us: it’s something we genuinely enjoy sharing as a team 💪

Before it becomes part of a formulation, pyrethrum is first and foremost a flower, and above all, the result of the hard work of thousands of growers 🌼

At Armosa, we rely on the expertise of our partner, Kentegra, which cultivates and processes pyrethrum in Kenya, in a region renowned for its ideal growing conditions. The company supports more than 30,000 farmers throughout the entire process: purchasing their dried flowers with immediate payment, supplying seedlings, providing technical assistance, buying the harvested flowers, and processing them into pyrethrum extract.

Because the quality of an active ingredient is never left to chance, every step matters : from growing the flowers to processing them, long before our teams begin the formulation process. And all of this is carried out with respect for the integrity and well-being of the people who help produce it.

In July, wasp and hornet colonies reach their peak development. This is a critical period when nests are highly active, making close monitoring of high-risk areas essential.

To reduce risks and facilitate effective interventions, particular attention should be paid to:
✔️ Monitoring orchards, trees and hedgerows
✔️ Inspecting agricultural buildings, sheds and outbuildings
✔️ Taking action as soon as a nest is detected, before it becomes more difficult to manage

By the end of summer, colonies begin producing the future queens that will establish new nests the following year. Regular monitoring from now on helps anticipate risks and prepare for the rest of the season.

Een doeltreffende aanpak bestaat niet alleen uit het bestrijden van de aanwezige volwassen vliegen, maar ook uit het identificeren van de bron van het probleem om de ontwikkeling van nieuwe generaties te beperken.

Sinds enkele weken verspreiden de media en verschillende gemeenten dezelfde boodschap: “Het is tijd om de vallen voor Aziatische hoornaars weg te nemen.”

Dat advies geldt… voor sommige vallen 👉 Onze selectieve val voor de Aziatische hoornaar valt hier NIET onder!
Het verschil? Onze verwisselbare in- en uitgangsvernauwers, speciaal ontworpen om de biodiversiteit niet op te offeren wanneer de seizoenen veranderen.
