Bulk sequencing is like listening to a massive choir. You hear the average. Not the individual voices. 🦎

In biology, the same principle applies. Bulk RNA sequencing tells you what all your cells are doing on average, but single cell sequencing lets you zoom in. Every cell. Its own signal.

A day in San Diego with Jiayao and Tom. 🧬

Biomarkers, Cdx and Precision Medicine brings Account Manager Jiayao and Senior Scientist Tom together with clients, researchers, and professionals from across the life sciences industry.

Throughout the day: client meetings with delegates from across the world. Discussing the challenges clients are working to solve and the data involved.

The conversations are focused and practical. Some are about existing projects. Others open discussions around new questions, datasets, or potential collaborations. In each case, the goal is to understand the problem before considering the solution.

Between meetings, the exchange continues. Learning from others working on similar challenges across the life sciences.

For Jiayao and Tom, the value of the conference is in the conversations. Understanding the science. Asking the right questions. And identifying where biological expertise, data science, and AI can support better decisions. 🦎

Best Poster Award 🧬

Our team, Hugo and Slava, are back from the 3rd conference of the European Society for Spatial Biology in Sitges.

It was fantastic to connect with researchers and industry experts pushing spatial biology forward, exchange ideas, and see the incredible work happening across the field.

We were especially proud to see our poster recognised with the Best Poster Award. A great validation that the work we’re doing at BioLizard addresses questions that genuinely resonate with the spatial biology community.

A great meeting, inspiring conversations, and a very welcome award to bring home.

For Bea, the moment it clicked was realizing that success means permanently adapting to what is changing around you. What worked yesterday might not work tomorrow. Sometimes that means experimenting with a completely new channel, thinking outside of the box or replacing an approach that has worked well before.

Constant movement is what has always excited her about marketing. There is never really a point where you have figured it all out but there is always something new to test, learn and improve.
