Op 8 oktober presenteert Adia Vanheerentals haar solo saxofoonproject Taking Place in Bozar Brussel, waar ze het podium deelt met Amirtha Kidambi en haar Elder Ones

Adia Vanheerentals steps into a musical conversation with her environment, allowing her saxophone to play off nearby sounds. On the album, that's a chicken coop, an echoing silo, a passing tram, birds... Live, it's anything that happens in the moment, making every concert a unique experience.

Amirtha Kidambi, coming from New York, combines vocals, harmonium and electronics, creating a blend of avant-garde rock and free jazz. Her music always comes with a message, so expect her to speak truth to power.

DAIMON is the first duo album by Jozef Dumoulin and Eric Thielemans, a collaboration that brings together more than twenty-five years of shared history within the Belgian jazz and improvisation scene. Although both artists have crossed paths in numerous ensembles, from Thielemans’ Snare is a Bell and EARR Ensemble to Dumoulin’s lidlboj project and his trio with Trevor Dunnthis is their first full-fledged studio project as a duo.

DAIMON grew out of an informal two-day studio session in Antwerp. Without any preconceived plan to make an album, Dumoulin and Thielemans once again engaged in a musical dialogue with one another.

The result is hypnotic, layered music centered on repetition, slow transformations, and subtle rhythmic shifts. Sounds are given space to unfold, while time seems to slow down and textures are constantly shifting.

The title DAIMON refers to the light in the shadows and to the space where music cannot easily be pinned down to a single style or meaning. The album invites listeners to pay close attention to ambiguity, nuance, and the surprising edges of the unknown.

And Bodem heads to Luxembourg for a concert at the historic Neumünster Abbey
