𝗕𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗺 and 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼, two of our projects live at Gent Jazz this year!

On Thursday the 2nd of July, Bodem will be taking on the Garden Stage, on the same day as Sun Ra Arkestra, Terence Blanchard & Ravi Coltrane, Stanley Clarke, Lakecia Benjamin and Brahja Trio. Lots of saxophone, best enjoyed with some summer vibes.

On Friday the 10th of July, It's Julien Tassin's turn to take the stage, alongside legends Charles Lloyd, Marcus Miller, Shabaka and Nate Smith. So let's get in the mood for some exploration!

Monk’s Mood is a composition that was originally recorded by Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane, which makes it the perfect track for MiXMONK.

Originally formed as a tribute to the life and music of Monk, the trio of Joey Baron, Bram De Looze and Robin Verheyen will honor Coltrane, who would have turned 100 in 2026, in the coming months.

Niels Boutsen (Stoomboot) werkt aan iets nieuws. ‘Wist je dat boeken kunnen zingen?’ is een muzikale voorstelling waarin de liederen geïnspireerd zijn door boeken, en dat brengt hij zowel voor een volwassen publiek als voor jonge kinderen.

Vorige week try-outte hij de kleutervoorstelling in Daltonschool De Lotus in Gent. En dat de kinderen fan waren van zijn liedjes, dat was duidelijk!
