The Ghent branch of 180 Degrees Consulting was founded on July 1, 2014 and operates at Ghent University. Our mission is to increase the effectiveness of socially conscious organizations and achieve high impact social outcomes through the development of innovative, practical and sustainable solutions. We want to make 180 Degrees Consulting Ghent a known and respected organization, both in the nonpr

ofit sector and on our campus. In order for our mission to succeed, we are continuously looking for motivated and ambitious university students with various academic backgrounds to strengthen our team. As a consultant, you like to tackle challenging problems, you are team oriented and committed towards investing time in projects generating social impact. In return, we offer you professional training from top-tier organizations and institutions. Furthermore, we offer you training in valuable life skills, such as teamwork and creative thinking, and the opportunity to meet like-minded students. We recently had the opportunity to visit Bain and Company for an inspiring sustainability workshop.

The evening started with a presentation of a real sustainability project they carried out for a client, giving us valuable insights into how companies approach sustainability challenges in practice. We then put our own problem-solving skills to the test during an interactive “Crack the Case” session focused on net zero emissions and the strategic decisions behind creating long-term impact.

Last Tuesday, we had the pleasure of hosting an event with Koen Geens. During his keynote, he shared valuable insights on the financing of the justice system, offering a compelling perspective on how government resources are allocated and what the future of public funding might look like.

The session was followed by an engaging networking moment on the rooftop terrace of NTGent, where attendees had the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas in an informal setting.

We were recently invited to the BrightWolves office for an engaging workshop.

The evening started with an insightful presentation introducing ESG principles and how they are applied in a business context.

This was followed by an interactive session where we worked on mapping out a value stream and evaluating its performance across ESG dimensions. We analyzed where it scored well or poorly and explored concrete actions companies can take to improve, along with the potential impact of these changes.

We wrapped up the night with great sushi, drinks, and the opportunity to connect and network.

What an amazing evening reconnecting with both our 180DC Ghent alumni and current members at this year’s Alumni Event!

We enjoyed a warm and relaxed atmosphere, complete with delicious desserts and great conversations that created the perfect vibe.

A big thank you to Argo for hosting us so warmly at their Antwerp office!

During the workshop we took on the role of both family-owned businesses and major corporations exploring a potential partnership.

It turned into a highly engaging deep dive into the complexities of M&A, filled with strategic decisions, challenging trade-offs, and fresh insights.

Before the Easter break, we attended a workshop at Vlerick Business School focused on career self-management.

The session covered how the recruitment process works today, the importance of networking and soft skills, and how to strategically approach the job search process. We also learned practical tools, such as building a target company list and reaching out effectively to professionals.

Mid-Term Presentations recap!

A few weeks back, our teams stepped up to present their progress so far and they truly delivered!

Our consultants are deeply engaged in their projects, putting in the effort and focus needed to generate real value and drive meaningful impact for their clients.

The presentations led to insightful discussions and strong collaboration across teams. It was a great opportunity to exchange feedback, support each other, and learn from both fellow consultants and the board.

End of March, we headed to Antwerp for a powerful Benelux Summit.

As 180 Degrees Consulting continues to expand globally, now reaching over 200 branches and counting, bringing the Benelux teams and the Global Leadership Team closer together felt like a true milestone. Ideas were exchanged, perspectives were challenged, and we left with renewed energy and motivation. What stood out most? The strong sense of community and shared ambition across all branches.

Once the sessions wrapped up, it was time to unwind. A table football tournament set the tone, the perfect way to strengthen connections beyond the professional setting.

A sincere thank you to LinkLaters for welcoming us to their Brussels office!

During an engaging workshop, LinkLaters provided our law consultants with a highly insightful and hands-on learning experience. Acting as legal advisors to two CEOs, our consultants took part in a simulated post-M&A negotiation, working towards a mutually beneficial outcome. The practical feedback and valuable perspectives shared throughout the session were greatly appreciated.

The evening continued with dinner and drinks, giving everyone the opportunity to network and reflect on the experience. 💚

We kicked off the evening in the stylish Hoxton Hotel, where we had the chance to connect with members from other 180 branches across Belgium. After a brief introduction to ADL, we were divided into small groups to dive into an interactive “Crack the Case” workshop.

Each group worked through the case with the support of an ADL consultant, who guided us along the way. It was an insightful experience and a great opportunity to collaborate with consultants from different branches, exchanging ideas and approaching the case from diverse perspectives.

The evening continued with great food and a networking moment, where we exchanged ideas with ADL consultants and fellow 180 members. It was a great opportunity to broaden our perspectives and get to know the other branches a bit better! 💚
