When Annick says she gets people moving, only half of that is about . 🧡

The other half happens on Fridays, in her own practice, movement coaching included. Physical Education was her first degree and it never really left.

The career half is the day job. As a Talent Manager at Pauwels Consulting, Annick Stevens walks alongside around seventy of our , from their first day to their last. Coaching, growth, and context when a project suddenly changes shape.

Two stories from practice in her new article, and both stay with you.

Yesterday was Margaux and Viktor's last day as summer students in our marketing team. 🧡

They spent the summer on persona research: who our candidates actually are, what they are looking for, and where we are missing them. Both closed with a presentation of their own, findings included, concrete recommendations included.

Watching the two of them grow into that was the best part. We took them out for lunch with the team to say thank you properly.

Their card said "iconic duo". We were not exaggerating.

Viktor is off to an internship elsewhere. Margaux is back with us soon, this time in content. So: one goodbye, and one see you shortly.

Our annual Family Day went to Planckendael this year. 586 colleagues, partners and kids, one very good Saturday.

Most of our colleagues spend their weeks at client sites across Belgium, so a Saturday like this is rare. Everyone in one place, families along for the ride.

Planckendael in late August. Ice cream losing its fight with the sun. Kids sprinting ahead to the giraffes while their parents pretended to keep up. Flamingos entirely unbothered. Colleagues meeting each other's kids for the first time. Partners putting faces to names. That is the part that stays with us.

The photo bingo made its annual appearance too, and the entries were unreal. A selection below 👇

Plus Pauwels Consulting animal tattoos on arms of every size. Technically for the kids. The grown ups queued anyway, and a few are reportedly still going.

Thanks KMDA for having us and for the splendid organisation.

Four events. One year. A lot of new faces. 🧡 Here are our last three Welcome Events, back to back.

If you join us as a consultant, your first day is often at a client. That is where the work is, and it is what makes the job. The Welcome event is where you get to know the company behind you.

Four times a year we get everyone who recently joined into one room. The practical side of working here, the people you can always turn to, a few short workshops on what we stand for, and a drink to finish with the colleagues who started when you did.

It matters just as much to us. First impressions are only fresh once, and this is where we get to hear them. The next one is in September. Welcome to everyone in these photos, and to everyone still to come.

Every Life Sciences manufacturer is being told to "do something with dark factories". Few are told where to start.

The worry underneath is almost always about people. Our experience points the other way. When systems take over the repetitive recording, operators get the room to interpret, to adjust and to own the process.

Toon Budeners and Yannick Teyssen work on this every week. In their blog post they set out what a dark factory really means in pharma, why fully lights off is not realistic in this sector, and which first steps actually pay off.

Not every consultancy has Talent Managers. At some, it stops at an invoice.

Debbie Croonen has been building the other version for more than five years. She helped shape the Talent Manager role here from scratch, and today she walks alongside consultants in the pharma cluster of the Kempen, from their first day well into their career.

An informal conversation every two or three months. Everything on the table, in confidence, in both directions. And in between, she is simply reachable. As she tells her consultants: do not walk around with something for two days, just put it in my calendar.

In her new article she tells what Talent Management really means when you built the role yourself.

The most expensive fiber project is the one you have to rebuild in five years.

Household data use doubles every two to four years, and Europe wants gigabit connectivity for every household by 2030. Our Fiber Consultant Maikel Put designs for that curve: networks that scale with your data growth, cost less to maintain, and get municipalities, partners and contractors aligned before the first spade hits the ground.

👉 His full story in the comments. Planning or scaling a fiber project? Reach out to Kenneth Van Cleynenbreughel.

Beloofd is beloofd: Sam is terug.

Vorige keer leerde je Sam Berenblit kennen, onze HR & Talent Consultant binnen Life Sciences. Sourcen, bellen, cv's aanpassen, plaatsen en opvolgen. Hij vergeet niemand.

Vandaag de omgekeerde vraag: waarom blijft Sam hier graag werken? "We are a strong family" is snel gezegd. Sam vertelt hoe dat op een gewone werkdag voelt.

Great talent management is not measured in emails sent. It is measured in attention given.

Our Talent Manager Annick Stevens puts it simply: when she sits down with a consultant, she is fully there. No phone, no emails, nothing in between. That undivided focus is the foundation of how she follows up and supports every consultant she works with.

She unpacks her full approach and vision in a blog we are publishing soon. Worth the read.

New faces, same energy. Meet the colleagues joining Pauwels Consulting this summer. 👋

We are happy to welcome four new people to the team:

Viktor is one of our summer students. He studies Business Administration at UGent, specialisation Commercial Policy, and starts his internship in September before graduating. Always on the move with running and futsal, half Spanish, and a passionate traveller. Best trip so far: Sri Lanka. On the wishlist: Japan and Thailand.

Margaux is our second summer student, also studying Business Administration at UGent with one year to go. Outside of work she loves the gym, cooking, reading, getting creative in Canva, and travelling. Favourite trip so far: Sri Lanka. Dream destinations: Peru and Japan.

Natacha joins us as HR & Talent Consultant in Diegem. She graduated in 2026 with a Bachelor in HR Management, and this is her very first job. Before Pauwels she completed a four month internship at VINCI Energies, running recruitment and skills development with a lot of autonomy. Ready to bring it all into her first HR role.

Atilla joins our Ghent office as an accountant, coming from a role in an accounting firm. He is the calm, friendly type and a great listener. In his free time he enjoys food and drinks with friends, walks, gaming, and a bit of Netflix.

Welcome to the team, all four of you. We are glad you are here. 🙌
