🌍⚡ Power-VET Project Kenya Kick-off Meeting – ReadLab Brussels joins consortium partners in .
From 6–7 May, the Power-VET Project team convened for a two-day in-person workshop at Strathmore University in Nairobi. The meeting brought together eight partner institutions from , , and to strengthen collaboration, align implementation strategies, and clarify roles across the project's work packages.
ReadLab Brussels was proud to participate as a key partner, contributing our expertise in digital education and quality assurance to this important initiative. Launched in January 2025, the three-year Power-VET Project aims to strengthen vocational education and training ( ) in Kenya by equipping trainers with critical competencies in renewable energy and energy efficiency, focusing on solar energy, wind energy, energy storage, and microgrids enabled through digitization, IoT, and other digital technologies.
Our contribution to the project centres on:
💻 Developing the Virtual Learning Environment and Open Educational Resources to support VET trainers
📋 Leading quality assurance and evaluation processes, including feedback systems
🎨 Managing the project's visual identity and website
The workshop provided an invaluable opportunity to exchange ideas, align on deliverables, and deepen engagement with our partners from Strathmore University, Strathmore Energy Research Centre, Eastlands College of Technology, Machakos University, TVET-CDACC KENYA, Citiscope Training Institute, Ολυμπιακή Εκπαιδευτική, and the Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Αττικής - University of West Attica.
