The strong demand for well-bred showjumping mares was clearly demonstrated last Saturday evening, 17 January, during the Belgian Mare Auction. At this second edition of the auction, 21 of the 22 mares changed hands, both on site and online ๐Ÿด

The auction, founded by Nico De Wilde and his son Marco De Wilde of the Belgian Stud De Wilde, took place at Loheky Stables in Knesselare. โ€œThere was a great atmosphere. Most mares were sold on site, but there were also online sales to America, Brazil, England, Sweden, Slovenia, the Netherlands and Belgium,โ€ says Marco De Wilde ๐ŸŒ

The highlight of the auction was the twelve-year-old Ola Kala de Regor (Darco), a direct daughter of Centa de Muze and herself ranked at 1.45m level. She brought the top price of โ‚ฌ87,000โ—๏ธ

The ten-year-old Plots Princess (Plot Blue), bred out of Marcus Ehningโ€™s famous Grand Prix mare Noltes Kuchengirl, was sold online to Slovenia for โ‚ฌ48,000.

It canโ€™t go wrong when you invest in this special lady, OLA KALA DE REGOR (Darco x Cento x Nabab de Reve). She jumped at 1.45m herself and is the direct daughter of the famous Centa De Muze. Centa gave two 1.60m GP horses, four at 1.50m level and four at 1.45m level.

2nd dam Walloon de Muze jumped 1.60m Grand Prix and gave Toupie de la Roque (1.65m GP) and Daytona de Muze (1.60m GP).
