Meet Stijn!
On January the second of 2004, I entered HFF as a freshly graduated bioengineer. I started out as a quality manager but slowly evolved towards the purchasing and Import department.
In my current role as Import Manager, I combine the purchase of a part of our assortment with our import process. I like to anchor myself in the complex world of food safety and the legal process behind it, to help my colleagues with advice about labelling, product specifications and document checks. My work also regularly takes me abroad for seafood trade fairs and factory visits.
I reload my batteries at home. Together with my wife Sarah and our two hip hop dancing daughters, Roxan (16) and Juno (14), I enjoy the small things of life. Cosy around the dinner table, a walk in nature, a night out at the cinema or discovering the world together. My greatest outlet is music. I am the man who creates the ultimate Spotify playlist for every occasion, always searching for new hits or rediscovering classics. At parties, you can spot me as DJ STIJN, absolutely rocking it behind the turntable.
Yesterday the lobster told an EPIC joke, but the fish weren't hooked.🦞
