Not all healthcare spaces need to feel clinical.
In Chevilly-Larue in France, architects designed a day hospital for children with autism spectrum disorders around a simple idea: comfort first.
Set within a park and shaped like a small village, the project uses timber, natural light and carefully considered acoustics to create an environment that feels calm and easy to navigate.
Every detail, from the materials and colours to the layout itself, was designed to support well-being. Less institution, more place of care, learning and belonging.
