The area of the land is called after «Couturelle», an evolution of Cicero’s meaning of “cultura”. We called the place «Garden» due to its charming environment and its ideal farming-size to cultivate the plot under handcfraft conditions. The place is also particularly bucolical. Which brings us to the origin of the vineyard’s name : «Jardin de la Couturelle».
The vineyard was created in 2018 planting vines on a very old grassland that was converted into biological farming since the early 90’s. An outstanding nature, impressive terroir, consensus with agro-ecology, and our focus on cool-climate viticulture.
The first harvest will take place in 2021 with micro-vinifications and overall patient winemaking (without additives) in order to produce authentic, singular & original terroir wines. The first bottles will be released in 2022 and 2023.
Today the vineyard accomodates about 1500 stocks over 0.83 ha. There will be more planting and wine stories soon...

NOTRE HISTOIRE
«Couturelle», le lieu-dit de la parcelle, une évolution du sens de "cultura" par Cicéron. «Jardin» en raison de son charmant environnement et due à sa taille idéale pour cultiver la parcelle dans des conditions artisanales. L'endroit est également particulièrement bucolique. Ce qui nous amène à l’origine du nom du vignoble : «Jardin de la Couturelle».
Le vignoble a été créé en 2018 avec la plantation de pied de vigne sur une ancienne prairie convertie en agriculture biologique depuis le début des années 90. Une nature exceptionnelle, un biotope impressionnant, en harmonie avec l'agro-écologie, et notre attention d'une viticulture de qualité originaire de climat frais.
La première vendange aura lieu en 2021 suivi par une élaboration de micro-vinification naturelle (sans additifs), consciencieuse et patiente afin de produire des vins de terroir singuliers, originaux et authentiques. Les premières bouteilles seront mises sur le marché en 2022 et 2023.
Aujourd'hui, le vignoble comporte environ 1 500 pieds de vignes sur environ 0,83 ha. Bientôt plus d'histoires sur les prochaines plantations et beaucoup plus encores...

«Couturelle», de plaatsnaam van het perceel, een evolutie van Cicero's betekenis van "cultura". «Jardin» vanwege de charmante omgeving en de ideale landbouwgrootte om het perceel ambachtelijk te cultiveren. De plaats is ook bijzonder pittoresk. Dat brengt ons bij de oorsprong van de naam van de wijngaard : «Jardin de la Couturelle».
De wijngaard is aangeplant in 2018 met wijnstokken op een zeer oud grasland dat sinds het begin van de jaren 90 omgebouwd werd tot biologische landbouw. Een uitzonderlijke omgeving van natuur, een indrukwekkend landschap, in harmonie met agro-ecologie, en onze focus op kwaliteitsvolle cool-climate wijnbouw.
De eerste oogst zal plaatsvinden in 2021. Micro-vinificaties en een uitgebalanceerde wijnmakerij (zonder additieven) zullen authentieke, originele en eigenzinnige terroir wijnen produceren. De eerste flessen zullen op de markt plaatsvinden in 2022 en 2023.
