en milieu maakt ons uniek in Europa. Transport & Mobility Leuven werd opgericht in 2002, en heeft de KU Leuven als grootste aandeelhouder. De kennis van de aandeelhouders werd gebundeld en verder toegepast op concrete beleidsvragen. De goede relatie met onze aandeelhouders garandeert dat TML steeds mee is met de recentste kennisontwikkelingen in het vakgebied. Onze focus is zowel wetenschappelijk als praktisch: wij zijn de brug tussen universiteit en samenleving. Onze klanten zijn vooral de lokale, Vlaamse, Belgische en Europese overheden, sectororganisaties en non-profitverenigingen. Zij baseren hun beleid inzake transport en mobiliteit op onze analyses en voorspellingen. Wij voeren onze projecten uit met een grote bezorgdheid voor onafhankelijkheid en openheid. Transport & Mobility Leuven heeft geen belangen in de wegenbouw, economische sectoren, of bij politieke partijen. Wij vinden het belangrijk om open en kritisch te communiceren over de gebruikte methodieken en bronnen. Niet alleen de resultaten zelf, maar ook de manier waarop de resultaten verkregen zijn worden duidelijk gecommuniceerd. Our excellent relation with our shareholders guarantees that TML is always up-to-date with the most recent state-of-the-art. Our focus is both scientific and practical: we are the bridge between the university and society. Our clients are the European Commission, national governments and administrations, local and regional authorities as well as sector associations and non-profit organisations. They base their policy on our analyses and prognoses. We conduct our projects with great concern for independence and openness. Transport & Mobility Leuven is not associated with road construction companies, economic sectors or political parties. We think it is important to communicate self-critically and openly on our methods and sources. We clearly communicate not only our end results, but also our intermediate results and methods. Our research results thus instil insight and trust, and can thus be defended.
