s? These are common feelings among highly sensitive people and if you answered yes to one of the questions, there is a chance that you are a highly sensitive person. Did you know that highly sensitive people are also the holders of immense treasures, such as empathy, listening capabilities and spiritual wisdom? As a yoga teacher and emotional healer, I guide highly sensitive women to rebalance their emotions and take a place at the center of their own lives. From years of personal and professional experience, I have realized that there can be a disconnect between how one feels inside and how they show themselves to the world. Luckily, there are easy ways to learn to reconnect the different facets of our self and embrace our strengths, as well as our weaknesses, with joy. "Calm, lighter, renewed, happier". These words were pronounced by participants to my previous yoga workshop when answering the question : "What result(s) did you get during and after the workshop - physically, emotionally, awareness, mood changes?".

When I hear feedback from first-time yoga practitioners, I am always amazed to realize that their words and feelings match how I feel when I get on the mat. My practice may be irregular, at times completely inexistant (yes, even yoga instructors go through dry patches), yet the sensation of calm and inner peace that surge while on the mat are consistent. This is why yoga "clicks" with me so much: it meets us wherever we are in life and brings us home (to our inner sanctum) every time!

This summer I am offering a 6-week yoga series for beginners in hatha yoga.

Hatha Yoga is a style of yoga that incorporates breathing, relaxation and postures (asanas) in a gentle way. This introductory class will take you through a sequence that you will be able to replicate at home.

Yoga on the go! When traveling, especially long distance, I remind myself to put the phone away and massage my legs (pic), stretch neck and shoulders, and twist my spinal cord (sit up straight, and mindfully look over one shoulder at a time). Yoga gives me that special happy vibe, even through security lines!!
