The IIGP helped Lizeth Vargas Perez discover opportunities she had never considered before. 🌍

As part of the first edition of the Indaver International Graduate Programme, Lizeth joined Indaver after studying chemical engineering and looking for international experience. What started as a graduate programme became a journey across countries, functions and disciplines.

Over the course of two years, Lizeth discovered that her career path would take her beyond the technical role she initially had in mind. Today, she works as a Business Developer within Indaver Industrial Waste Services, where she contributes to strategic projects, investments and innovations that help shape the future of the business.

One of the programme's greatest strengths, according to Lizeth, was the network she built across the organisation. The connections she made during the IIGP still help her bring together expertise from different departments and turn ideas into robust business cases.

🎶 Afval, daar zit muziek in! ♻️

Op zondag 4 oktober openen we uitzonderlijk de deuren van onze site in Doel tijdens Voka Open Bedrijvendag. Een unieke kans om een blik backstage te werpen bij Indaver en Sleco en te ontdekken hoe we afval omzetten in nieuwe grondstoffen, stoom en elektriciteit.

Kies zelf je route langs onze installaties en stel je eigen playlist samen, van Disco Light tot Heavy Metal!
Onder het thema "Afval, daar zit muziek in!" verwelkomen we de hele dag door bands en (mobiele) dj's voor een gezellige festivalsfeer:

• Les Guitares Magiques > nostalgische en zwoele rootsmuziek

A day in the life of Olivia Greaney. 👋

Olivia is Mobile TWM Manager at Indaver. Her days are all about coordinating customer visits and site works across different locations. Olivia works closely with teams on the ground, preparing for audits and making sure everything is set up on site. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what keeps things interesting.

Safety & Health Day 2026 in Hamburg. 🦺

In beautiful summer weather, our Safety & Health Day took place in Hamburg on June 30th with great participation and many exciting interactive activities!

At numerous stations, our employees had the opportunity to learn, try things out, and actively experience how important safety and health are in everyday work.

Highlights of the day:
- VR experience: Immersive virtual hazard situations
- Forklift course: Educational and fun at the same time
- “Blind spot”: Seeing traffic from a truck driver’s perspective
- A surprising handrail check – fewer germs than expected!
- Healthy nutrition brought to life: valuable insights from presentations and a delicious, well-balanced lunch in the cafeteria

We were especially pleased to welcome Managing Director Andreas Ellerkmann as well as HR Manager Tino Glowczak Plant Manager Dr. Christoph Helling and SWI Director Dr. Florian Grote were also very satisfied with the high level of participation.

Big moment last week 👀

Together with colleagues, customers, partners and the local community, we officially opened the Rivenhall Integrated Waste Management Facility in the UK. A project that had been years in the making, made possible by a diverse team of internal colleagues and external partners.

Attendees enjoyed drinks in the sun, a dash of music and guided tours to discover the facility. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in this project. We really enjoyed celebrating the official opening together.

Rivenhall is now ready to support Indaver’s mission to create value from waste and to accelerate the shift towards a circular future.

320 colleagues. 13 sessions. 1 Sustainability Day. 🌿

Yesterday, we held our fourth Sustainability Day at Den Oven in Boom, Belgium. Chief Sustainability Officer Karl Vrancken set the tone: "It doesn't have to be just about big projects. Small contributions count too."

What followed was an inspiring day of discovery, connection and … action!

Our colleagues made the most of every minute. They unmasked fake news, built insect hotels, explored cellos made from flax fibre composites, and jotted down their ideas for a better tomorrow. Plus, they discovered the projects that make Indaver more sustainable every single day.

We saw smiling faces everywhere. One participant said: “Some topics are immediately applicable to my daily work. Others help broaden our perspective. Besides, it’s a joy to meet our colleagues in a less formal context.”

One thing’s for sure: Sustainability is people's work. And our people showed they’re all for it. 💚

320 collega’s. 13 sessies. 1 Duurzame Dag. 🌿

Gisteren vond in Den Oven in Boom onze vierde Duurzame Dag plaats. Chief Sustainability Officer Karl Vrancken zette de toon: “Duurzaamheid draait niet alleen om grote projecten. Ook kleine bijdragen maken een verschil.”

Wat volgde, was een inspirerende dag vol inzichten, ontmoeting en actie.
Onze collega’s gingen enthousiast aan de slag. Ze leerden fake news herkennen, bouwden insectenhotels, ontdekten cello’s uit vlasvezelcomposieten en deelden hun ideeën voor een duurzamere toekomst. Daarnaast maakten ze kennis met heel wat projecten die Indaver elke dag duurzamer maken.

Overal zagen we betrokkenheid en enthousiasme. Een collega verwoordde het mooi: “Sommige onderwerpen kan ik meteen toepassen in mijn dagelijkse werk. Andere verruimen vooral onze blik. En het is fijn om collega’s eens in een minder formele context te ontmoeten.”

Eén ding is zeker: duurzaamheid is mensenwerk. En onze mensen zetten daar elke dag mee hun schouders onder. 💚
