On Sunday, Shari Bossuyt became the new Belgian Champion. As a sponsor of AG Insurance - Soudal Cycling Team, this one means a lot to us.
A flat 137km, a day made for the sprinters and a peloton unwilling to give an inch. The team still forced the race with Justine Ghekiere (last year's champion) and Emma Siegers animating it from the front. When it all came back together, Shari opened the sprint first, 250 meter out, at a speed no one could answer. 25 years old, the biggest win of her career, and the iconic tricolor jersey stays in the team for another twelve months. 🏆
What stands out isn't just the win, it's the team spirit behind it. Riders spending their own race to set up the moment, then celebrating it as one. A few Datashifters caught it up close, but you don't need to be at the finish line to feel what that kind of team makes possible.
