We at MyForce are proud to say that we are selected for the project. This is a great initiative of the Vlaamse overheid in collaboration with Energy Lab, Better Minds at Work and Mindstretch by BioRICS. During nine months, the FitBonus program offers the participants a number of inspiring workshops to strengthen their mental and social well-being and the possibility to take part in a number of exercise initiatives.
Every day, we give the best of ourselves at work and a healthy mind in a healthy body can only reinforce this. Yesterday, the entire team discovered Stad Antwerpen. We inscribed for the Urban Walk Series Antwerp, a unique journey of about 11 kilometres that led us past and through a number of special and beautiful buildings in the city of Antwerp. Great day and great company. Thank you, Team MyForce and Hilde, Sarah and Piet for joining us!

This month we like to put two sporty colleagues in the spot light.

Peter Gabriël
Peter has been enjoying himself at MyForce for 10 years now. He is our expert in the field of Speech Technology and spends most of his time developing new features for our Bison system.
In his spare time, Peter is a sports enthusiast who likes to push his limits. You can spot him along the Flemish roads on his race bike. Family man Peter also enjoys travelling, going on family outings and hiking. And if there is some time left, he likes baking his own delicious bread.

Maarten Bossuyt
Maarten joined the MyForce team 20 years ago as a Product Manager for contact centre solutions and market research software. In 2009 he took on the role of head of sales and marketing. Within MyForce, Maarten is the one who is away from the office the most, visiting our customers abroad or participating in trade shows.
In his spare time, Maarten is a board member of Davoz, the volleyball team where his two teenage daughters play. Like Peter, he likes his race bike and he is also an ardent runner. As all that exercising makes him hungry and thirsty, bon vivant Maarten always knows where to find the best restaurants and never turns down a drink in good company.

Last week we attended The Marketing Congress.
Three quotes that made us think:
- “Combine data outside in (research) with inside out (CRM, business, churn..)” – Jeroen Sabbe from Telenet is not just talking about this but actually doing this.
- “Ai uses energy: leaving the light on is better for the environment than switching it on and off via voice control” – what an eye opener from Mieke Geertrui de Ketelaere from Imec. Sometimes people tend to forget that AI and cloud services also energy.
- “From we could do it to let's do it, Yaka, vas-y, fais-le, doe maar!!!” – Paul Gérard from l’Echo explains how they enable entrepreneurship in the Walloon region. What a great initiative and so surprising to see this coming from a ‘news-paper’.
And it was such a nice occasion to catch up with Boobook, Haystack, InSites, B2Sense… and meet new people!

Last week, our CEO Johan Minne and CSO Maarten Bossuyt spent their day in Technopolis, at the Customer Journey, organised by the Belgian Customer Contact Association.
Through a series of interesting break-out sessions, several speakers shared their knowledge on issues such as the value of CX automation, conversational AI and digitalisation in customer contacts.
These are the main takeaways:
- Seif Alhamrany from Florius (part of ABN Amro) learns us that we should not be afraid to start using speech analytics. The technology will not do the job for 100% but even with only 50% of accuracy it generates additional insights that allow companies to better help their customers and colleagues!
- Tim Van den Bergh from Sunweb challenges us to add Serendipity to each aspect of the customer journey. Adding this small surprise whenever possible leads to customer expectations that are exceeded (think about Tomorrowland as biggest example)
- Deliane Schimmel (also from Florius) wants us to be an ‘OEN’ (for non-dutch speaking people: clumsy!). This stands for Open, Eerlijk (honest) and Nieuwsgierig (curious). If you apply this throughout your company and with all colleagues you will take huge steps forwards.
