Samen oefenen om klaar te staan wanneer het echt nodig is. 🚁🌊

Eerder deze maand vond op de Noordzee een internationale reddingsoefening plaats, gecoördineerd door het MRCC. Gesimuleerde drenkelingen werden met een SAR-helikopter naar Luchthaven Oostende-Brugge gebracht en er overgedragen aan de medische hulpdiensten.

Onze luchthaven stelde haar terrein en diensten ter beschikking. North Sea Aviation Center opende zijn bedrijfsgebouwen voor de opvang van de slachtoffers. De reguliere luchthavenactiviteiten bleven ondertussen normaal doorgaan en behielden steeds voorrang.

Dankzij onze strategische ligging aan de kust kan onze luchthaven een belangrijke ondersteunende rol spelen bij incidenten op zee. Dankjewel aan alle betrokken partners en hulpdiensten voor de vlotte en professionele samenwerking!👏

Sometimes a business jet is an intensive care unit.

We regularly organize medevacs, medical evacuations, most recently from Mexico. In moments like that, the ‘cabin’ isn’t a luxury suite but a flying ICU with monitors, oxygen, etc. We select the most suitable air ambulance for the patient’s condition, while we work with the most specialized partners for medical crew and equipment. This is the side of private aviation few people talk about.
