More Power, Greater Depth with the Junttan DR5 Drilling Rig
A partnership and project worth revisiting. When GVD P***n was looking to expand its drilling capabilities, the requirements were clear: more power, greater drilling depth and versatility – while keeping the machine weight relatively low.
From the beginning, the new Junttan DR5 was shaped by close cooperation between GvD P***n and Junttan, with additional expertise from Olivier NV. This strong partnership continued throughout the development, commissioning, and beyond.
The result was a drilling rig that met all the requirements. On its first job site in Diepenbeek, Belgium, the Junttan DR5 tackled demanding, hard ground conditions while installing approximately 450 full-displacement screw piles, including both vertical and inclined piles, for a new parking building.
Joeri Ameloot, Owner of GvD P***n, highlights the DR5’s capabilities: “The DR5 will excel because of its relatively low weight combined with enormous power and the ability to drill to a depth of 25 meters.”
