We are excited to share the latest policy paper, "Adding Value to Horizon Europe and Beyond: The EU Framework Programme for R&I as a Policy Driver for Mental Health and Well-being." This important initiative, supported by 20 COST Actions and over 5,000 researchers, highlights the urgent need for mental health research across all life stages and calls for stronger EU funding and policy action.
A key contributor to this effort is Ursula Trummer, a dedicated member of the TraFaDy (Transnational Family Dynamics in Europe) network, whose expertise continues to shape critical discussions on mental health, migration, and social policy.
The paper outlines four key research gaps:
๐น Mental health across the lifespan, from early childhood to ageing
๐น The impact of social determinants such as migration, housing, and employment
๐น Addressing vulnerabilities and improving access to mental health services
๐น Supporting carers and the mental health workforce
This initiative reflects a shared commitment to improving mental health policies across Europe.
