In today's fast-paced world,... -> just kidding, we don't copy-paste our ChatGPT outputs 😉
While reading a lot on , we notice many :
- encouragements to use
- suggestions of
- and prompting advice for .
What we see less, are tips on how to add your to the generated content. "Humics" is a word I discovered recently and covers what differenciates us from AI : Genuine creativity, Critical thinking and Social authenticity. Adding Humics increases trust. In the contrary, keeping "tells" that make it obvious that the content wasn't written by a human, can have a negative toll on it's perceived value and trustworthiness.
We can take the below image as a concrete example. It's clean, it's pretty, it's representative of the topic. And yet, the hands have 6 fingers... and that can be a major setback to those who have noticed it. Good initiative, good intention, bad impact.
A few simple tweaks on ChatGPT's outputs can avoid unnecessary obstacles to the impact of your content:
✒ Spot and Eliminate Clichés: GenAI tends to use repetitive phrases and structural clichés.
✒ Cut the Fluff: GenAI tends to add filler adjectives that don’t add value.
✒ Use Active Voice: Passive voice is common issue in AI content.
✒ Back Up Claims with Data: AI might make broad statements and even hallucinate.
✒ Polish the Tone: GenAI tends to produce a monotone voice. I
Incorporating Humics into AI-generated content isn't just about making it pass as human—it's about infusing it with our own experience and what we truly have to offer as a content writer.
