Myopia is not simply a refractive error. It is a structural change in the eye and understanding that changes the recommendation. Myopia occurs when the eyeball grows too long longitudinally, causing light entering the eye to focus in front of the retina rather than on it. The result is blurred distance vision.

But the clinical challenge is not just the refractive error. It is the progression. As the eye axis continues to elongate, particularly during childhood and adolescence, myopia worsens. And without intervention, that process continues.

Conventional single vision lenses correct the focal point. They do not address the stimulus for axial elongation.MYOGEN does.
