🎄 As the year comes to a close, our teams go the extra mile to lend a helping hand to those in need in our local communities. 🎄

⛄ In Davenport, our team donated winter clothing to Humility Homes & Services, Inc, hygiene kits to Family Resources, and over 450 pounds of chicken, brats, and ground beef to River Bend Food Bank.

🍲 In Santa Fe, our team contributed food to a charity canteen where volunteers prepare weekly meals for more than 80 people. For every half kilo donated, PB Leiner provided a loaf of sweet bread to enrich the Christmas tables of these families.

🧸 Our Nienburg team filled 70 shoeboxes with donations from all employees, including school supplies and toys, all beautifully wrapped in Christmas colors, bringing joy to children in Ukraine and ensuring they have a wonderful Christmas.

👗 Team Vilvoorde collected clothing, shoes, and baby gear and for (W)arm-kracht, a local organization fighting against poverty.

These actions reflect our ongoing commitment to making our local communities good places to live for everyone. 💚💙

Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming the Belgian Ambassador, Mr. Karl Dhaene, and the Embassy's Minister Counselor, Mr. Francis Sobry, to our plant in Santa Fe (Argentina). 🌟

During their visit, they toured our collagen production and wastewater treatment facilities, witnessing firsthand the positive impact we have on the region through our efforts in generating economic activity, fostering local industry development, and making environmental improvements. 🙏

♻️ The Ambassador praised our commitment to sustainable development, noting how we add value to the raw materials and significantly contribute to sustainability within the industry. He also commended our investments in enhancing production processes and wastewater treatment systems.

We deeply appreciate their visit and the time they devoted to us. Their continued support of Belgian investments in Argentina strengthens the synergy between the Embassy and Belgian companies, promoting development, teamwork, and mutual cooperation. 🙌

🌍 Garbage treasure hunt for a clean environment 🌍

Our PB Leiner team Nienburg picked a beautiful autumn day to clean our premises and the surroundings of the Weser river, collecting a total of five bags of garbage. 🗑️💪

The best part? It was a family affair! Employees brought their kids along, turning trash collection into a fun treasure hunt. 🎉 The event not only helped keep our surroundings clean but also fostered a sense of environmental responsibility and sustainability within our community. 💙🌳

September was another great month for PB Leiner! Not least because we were honored to welcome the Belgian Ambassador in Brazil, Peter Claes, and the First Secretary, Geert Van Dessel, to our PB Leiner plant in Acorizal (Brazil). 🌟🙏

Their visit formed part of the Economic Mission - which was being led by Princess Astrid of Belgium - that aims to further strengthen ties and foster cooperation between Belgium and Brazil.

Ambassador Peter Claes showed genuine interest in our gelatin production process as he explored every corner of our Brazilian plant. He was highly impressed by the professionalism and dedication of our young team, and he stated that we are well-equipped for a bright future. 💙💚

What an incredible World Cleanup Day it was! Several of our PB Leiner teams got into action to clear the litter around our factory premises. 🌟🌎

🍀 Team Acorizal (Brazil) traditionally cleared litter from the banks of the Cuiabá River. Despite the scorching 42-degree heat, the team gave their all. 🐟

🌎 Team Santa Fe (Argentina) collaborated with a local primary school, engaging the children in the cleanup. As a token of appreciation, the kids received plants lovingly nurtured by children with disabilities from Empleame.org. 🌱

🍀 Team Davenport (US) has been consistently active, partnering with ilivehereqc.org for regular cleanups. Their hard work paid off, as they collected significantly less garbage compared to last year. 🌼

🌎 Team Vilvoorde (Belgium) came equipped with a wheelbarrow, determined to gather as much litter as possible. 🌳

We are so incredibly proud of our teams! 💙💚 A heartfelt thank you to everyone for your contributions to preserving our beautiful environment! Your efforts not only benefit our flora and fauna but also send a powerful message to the community about the importance of preventing littering. 🙌🌴

When Rio Grande do Sul suffered a climate disaster last April, our colleagues in Acorizal (Brazil) made a call for help, as many of them have family and friends in the affected region. 🙌💙

Our local CSR teams in several plants immediately jumped into action in order to support the victims of the extreme flooding. Various support initiatives were set up. For example, raffles were organized in Davenport (US) and Treforest (UK), while candy bags were sold in Vilvoorde (BE). 🍬💚

All funds raised were donated to a local relief organization with "boots on the ground" to meet the daily needs and aid reconstruction efforts.💙💪

This heartwarming action serves as a beautiful reminder of how collective efforts can help to make the world a better place. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved! 💚🙏

PB Leiner’s green and blue colors recently brightened the landscape in Acorizal when our Brazilian colleagues teamed up with a local school, Ponce de Arruda, for an inspiring day of environmental awareness. 🌎🌿

After some stretching exercises, they were ready to kick off a day full of activities, including:

🚲 Biking tour to promote a healthy lifestyle and eco-friendly transportation.

🗑️ Distributing car trash bags to support responsible waste disposal.

♻️ Donating fertilizers produced with the waste of our wastewater treatment plant.

🌱 Handing out seedlings to passing drivers, generously donated by EMPAER.

What an enthusiasm! Kudos to all the children who participated! We’re proud to have you as vigilant stewards of our planet and its natural resources. 💚💙

"When a child smiles, the world becomes a better place", some say. And our Treforest team wholeheartedly agrees. 💚

Last year, our UK colleagues fell in love with the idea of spring-cleaning the garden of the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital in Wales. Armed with secateurs, buckets of soapy water, sponges, and gloves, they returned again this year. 🌼 Their efforts ensured the withered plants got a new lease of life, swings and slides received a thorough bath, and the entire lawn and windows sparkled after an intensive clean. 🍀

After a day of hard work - and lots of fun 🤗 - our PB Leiner team transformed the weathered playground into a glistening haven, ready for the upcoming summer. The result? Everyone happy!

💙 The young patients can go out again to play and have fun.
💙 The hospital can redirect the savings it made on landscaping costs toward essential healthcare services.
💙 And as for our PB Leiner team? Well, we’re happy to contribute to our community. Because it's truly fulfilling to know that we've made a difference.
