Piloting focus groups with mothers, fathers and caregivers of children 0 to 2 years outside the town of Boussé about 50km from Ouagadougou. Back in the field Monday for the start of ‘real’ work after a team reflection on our experience tomorrow!

Fantastic first day of training in Ouaga with 12 of Development Media International’s finest local researchers and communications specialists. The group was enthusiastic, insightful and engaging...and so patient with my American-accented French! Honored to work with such a great group and looking forward to our research in villages coming up ✏️👏🌍

Back in the field! Thrilled to be back in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, this time collaborating with Development Media International. Qualitative training with local researchers begins tomorrow and we will be in villages starting next week. Watch this space for photos of the next three weeks of exciting activities 🌍

is thrilled to partner with London-based Development Media International for the month of May. Mari will be traveling to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso to conduct theoretical & practical training in qualitative research methods then lead the DMI-Burkina team in data collection in villages outside of Ouaga. This work will contribute to the development of a randomised-control trial of an early childhood development intervention.
