CE certification of Geogrids in Uzbekistan

We are pleased to share yet another completed CE certification project at the Basalt Holding plant in Uzbekistan.
The CE-certified products are geogrids produced under the harmonized European standard EN 15381, "Geotextiles and geotextile-related products - Characteristics required for use in pavements and asphalt overlays."
Basalt geogrid is a highly durable, eco-friendly reinforcement material made from volcanic basalt rock, offering superior strength, temperature resistance, and longevity without toxic emissions or environmental pollution.

LLC "BASALT HOLDING" is part of the "Basalt Uzbekistan" group of companies. The group is a leading producer of composite materials in the region, focusing on the extraction of basalt rock and the production of advanced construction materials. Their product range includes basalt fibers, reinforcement materials, geogrids, and insulation products. In June 2024, the Basalt Uzbekistan Group entered into a joint venture to establish a state-of-the-art basalt technology plant in Uzbekistan and has developed a significant industrial cluster in the Forish district of the Jizzakh region, covering 300 hectares. The $30 million investment has a capacity to produce 45,000 tons of basalt products annually, further enhancing the company's production capabilities. Eighty percent of the production is exported to countries such as the USA, EU, and Russia.

Kerberos Compliance is the leading service provider for money laundering prevention in Germany. With many years of experience and comprehensive expertise, they support companies in effectively implementing all legal requirements and identifying and minimizing risks in connection with money laundering (AML) and terrorist financing. Their services range from KYC checks, due diligence audits, risk analyses, guidelines, employee training, transaction monitoring to whistleblower systems, data protection management systems and the provision or certification of money laundering reporting officers.
The audit reviewed the organization's implementation of privacy controls as specified in the relevant standards, which serve as foundational frameworks for information security management. These controls cover various aspects such as access control, data encryption, incident management, and risk assessment. Furthermore, the audit specifically focuses on the extension provided for privacy information management.
This entails assessing how effectively the organization addresses privacy concerns in its operations, including data collection, processing, storage, and sharing activities. It involves evaluating the adequacy of measures taken to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations, such as for example the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in Europe and local regulations.

Dedal and and the team of Mikafon have completed the CE certification audit of the company’s plant in Istanbul, Turkey.
The CE certification is performed according to the following EN standards:
EN 54-4 Fire detection and fire alarm systems. Power supply equipment;
EN 54-16 Fire detection and fire alarm systems. Voice alarm control and indicating equipment;
EN 54-24 Fire detection and fire alarm systems. Components of voice alarm systems — Loudspeakers.

Mikafon is one of the old family companies of Istanbul. The story started in 1945 as the Mikafon brand was created by Mr. Mikael and continues today with its 4th generation of manufacturers, establishing itself as one of the leading companies in the industry.

The manufacturing is located in a newly build 7000 m² production plant and warehouse in Kocaeli, Istanbul. Mikafon has a strong R&D team with engineers developing one of the few local production centers in Europe.

After an audit performed at the production plant of DAEYOUN GEOTECH, the producer has certified their product - High Strength Polyester Seamless Circular Woven Geotextile, type GEONIA, according to the following EN standards:

EN 13249 - Geotextiles and geotextile-related products - Characteristics required for use in the construction of roads and other trafficked areas (excluding railways and asphalt inclusion)

Woven Geotextile reinforces the embankment structures such as roads and railways that are vulnerable to subsidence and shear failure after filling up the ground, and creates a drainage layer by separating the soft foundation soil and embankment layer from rivers, lakes and coasts. It is also used to secure the access road to the equipment.

CE certification according to EN 13479:2017

After a successful audit of the Factory Production Control of Wire Production Ltd., Dedal has issued a CE certificate according to the standard EN 13479:2017 “Welding consumables - General product standard for filler metals and fluxes for fusion welding of metallic materials.”
This European Standard specifies product characteristics and related test/assessment methods for filler materials (welding consumables as defined in ISO/TR 25901-1) and fluxes to be used for fusion welding of metallic structures or composite metals and concrete structures in construction works.

Wire Production LTD is located in the city of Shumen, Bulgaria. The company is a leading manufacturer of low carbon soft and hard hot-dip galvanized wire, black annealed wire, spring wire, and steel fibers for reinforcing concrete, mortar, or grout. The manufacturing plant spreads out over 25,000 m2. Wire Production Ltd. is the first Bulgarian company to certify its product – welding copper wire according to EN 13479:2017.

Certification according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 - Information technology - Security techniques - Information security management systems.

After a successfully completed inspection by the Executive Agency “Bulgarian Accreditation Service” (EA BAS), "Dedal - Attestation and Certification" Ltd. has included into its scope of accreditation the certification of management systems according to ISO/IEC 27001 with the first client Karnobat Municipality.

ANNUAL MEETING OF DEDAL BUSINESS GROUP
For the second time DEDAL BUSINESS GROUP organizes a visit to DIVA Hotel in CHIFLIKA resort, TROYAN, to hold an annual company meeting.
During the meeting, a general assessment of the achievements of the companies was made, compared to the results of 2019, given that the global pandemic led to a decline in revenues in 2020 by 15.3% compared to 2019 and the results of year 2020 cannot be considered representative.
The results as of 31.08.2021 give hope that 2021 will be the most successful year in the 22-year presence of the companies on the market, as "DEDAL - ATTESTATION AND CERTIFICATION" Ltd. has taken a stable position in the international market and forms 90% of total revenue of the four companies in the group. The growth compared to 2019, for the first 8 months of the year, marked a 3.4% increase.

We want to thank all our colleagues and partners who, through their dedication and impeccable work, make it possible for Dedal to keep on growing every year.

CE Certification of clay bricks in Russia.
We are glad to announce that after a successful certification audit in Afonino, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, performed by Dedal’s engineers, the producer OJSC "KREMA" obtained CE certification of their production of clay masonry units in accordance with the requirements of the standard EN 771-1: 2011 + A1: 2015 - Specification for masonry units - Part 1: Clay masonry units.

OJSC "KREMA" is a leading manufacturer of masonry and ceramic cladding in the region and after obtaining the CE certificate it will also have the right to offer its masonry on the European market, making their conformity to the EN standard recognizable worldwide.
Clay bricks are traditionally recognized sustainable construction material, which offers many benefits:
- high thermal mass and good insulation properties offer high energy efficiency;
- made from natural mineral, recyclable components and thus one of the traditionally proven sustainable construction materials;
- resistant to fire, which makes them a durable material that can last long periods of time;
- durable and easy to construct;
- reasonable price.
A multi-stage factory production control system has been introduced at the Kerma plant, covering all stages of the production process - from incoming control of the raw materials, through inspection during the production process and the final product, storage, and shipment of finished products, making sure that their FPC corresponds to all requirements of the standard EN 771-1: 2011.
